Mary I don't think hospital staff have any organisation skills at all. Sometimes I think they do it to wind you up!! When I took my Dad for his op he had to go to the blood testing, the nurse took him in a wheelchair and just dumped him there and never told the staff!! an hour later my Dad had to go and find someone and ask how much longer he had to wait, then he missed his op slot and had to wait again. grrrr

Rainmac When Willow comes to stay she has started telling Grandad to sleep in her bed so she can sleep with me. Nightmare!! she might only be little but insists on sleeping right next to you and the more you move up she follows. I spend half the night clinging on to the edge of the bed!! why dont I just get up....

Popkins try glue dots, I've just had a go with some sheer ribbon and card and its stuck well and almost invisible plus no mess with the DST

Hope you are feeling much better now xx

    Brilliant news about the orders!!

Thanks Flourgirl - tbh the DST looks fine on the back just not on the front as it peels off when you tie the bow & undo it so maybe I'll use a couple of glue dots on the front - good idea! :T It really is the bow that is the tricky bit!!

I'm getting just slightly bored at the moment - because my printer is really not good and jams at the slightest sign of anything heavier than normal paper I had to put 'labels' onto the design which I made with my nesties but they look MUCH better embossed so I am now having to run each one through the cuttlebug individually!!! thats 75 of them!! plus I've done them using the same paper as the inserts so cos its not very thick it doesn't stay in the nestie easily so am having to tape it!!! Grrrrr its very tedious!! Not to self - get a better printer so in future can just print straight onto the invites!!! any recommendations printer wise ladies? :)

Rainmac - middle son has come back from school saying that his teachers kept saying that he looks ill - its the face paint - it makes him look jaundice. I've just tried cotton wool and baby lotion - I don't think it's worked - but they've got lovely smooth skin!!!

Mary - that is very daft!!!!!!

Mad-frog - your card is brilliant!! I am very impressed - I hate making cards for men - but your image is fab!!! Your cake looks yummy!!!!

Popkins - sorry to hear you've been ill!!!!!

Popkins Sorry you've not been well. OH also suffers with UC so you have my sympathy.

Have you tried the extra strong DST that comes on the red carrier tape for your bows?

I've not bought a printer for years so can't recommend one really, but my old HP PSC1315 seems to cope well with what I throw at it. It's one of those that takes in paper and it turns back on itself and comes out where it went in IYSWIM and I think with this type it might not take such heavy cardstock as the "put it in the top and it comes out the front" straight through type. gosh, I'm talking rubbish today :rotfl: .

MadFrog Great card, I've left a comment and become a follower of your blog.

Sounds like someone needs a good shake at that hospital. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid they can be. OH uses hospital transport and he used to go twice a week when he first came home after his stem cell transplant. When they dropped it down to once a week the drivers still kept turning up at the house no matter how many times OH reminded the people booking transport. It's taken weeks and weeks to get this sorted and stop wasting the drivers' time.

    Rusty Welcome back.

Hopefully I haven't missed anyone out.

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my 40th survival kit. OH went and bought the Smarties today for the energy pills. I couldn't believe it. No longer a tube with a little plastic end stopper in, it's now just a hexagonal pack with a normal cardboard end. Now that's just not Smarties, bring back the tube :rotfl: .

I've finished off the two cards I need to get in the post tomorrow and put them on my blog. I even managed to tidy up my craft desk when I finished, I never knew it was so big :D. Off to sort out the washing and do a bit of cleaning, how exciting is that!
  • melissa - How I wish I had a job; I really want those MS sets :( I thought I liked the butterfly set, but the borders that come with the flower punch are lovely.

Gemma - I've ordered my NEC ticket through the clubcard deal. If I get a job between now and then I might have to go on the Saturday, otherwise I'll be going on the Friday with whatever pennies I can scrape together. It'll certainly be nothing like the spending I did in November ;)

Rusty - I love your stork card, I bet it'd look lovely against a pale pink flowery BG paper too.

Great cards on blogs as well - madfrog, your cake looks amazing. :)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
