Be fun when they get the next claim - as the hol that didn't happen in Oct, when was meant to be going with the friend, but he turned a bit psyho, and touch wood the IBS was in full force, and the gp said couldn't travel as need to stop every 10 mins - wait and see how they make of that.

A day in the life of mum2one...:)

    Getting sorted slowly,

    Positives -
Now a school govener, - could be fun

Got all ingredients ready for making the christmas cake, - the fruit soaking at mo, be made 2mor.

Money be more organised this month - already set up the payments

We now have the bathroom saga sorted - managed to get them to move the date to April next yr, after a few calls and some not nice prices, as DD and me be in Dom Rep, looking for somewhere for mum and dad, - were going to the caravan site locally, but picked up a private owners van, we've stayed in it July, (we'd booked through the site), took a chance and rang her, and yes she over the moon, done the 2 weeks for £230. inc Bailey. Really plzed with that, worked out that dd and me can go and have the weekend with them b4 we go away, and said we'd get a taxi to the airport.. (not mse), but even with Sat Nav, dad get lost, thought the money we saved by not staying locally (£250 pw), go towards the taxi etc.

    Negatives

(hopefully soon be positive), DD left her dsxl at the caravan, luckly they found it and said they would post it back special delievery, - shes only had it a month.. I'd put it on the table to pack, and she thought she wa being helpful by putting in the cupboard overnight.... but forgot to tell me!! The weird thing is always check the cupbaords - but not that one as dad had used it for Baileys stuff

Managed to break another tooth, I'm sure stalking the dentist....

    xx

Good news - all my christmas cakes are made, - but some be for gifts..... finally finished cooking them at 2.30am....

Did a car boot this morning, after paying for the table only £5, made £18, but £9 of that was dds.........but its £9 I wouldn't of had - got rid of few bits.

Not much more going on, dd got a chesty cough bless her, so not sure whether she will be off school 2mor, c how she is in the morning.

I bet you were freezing doing the car boot. Every bit helps though like you say. Well done on being organised with your cakes. I have a few ideas but can't seem to get motivated again...:(
Hope DD feels better and shakes off the rotten cough. Breathing in freezing cold air on the way to school won't help. Keep her warm at home till it passes. (Yep my kids think I'm a soft touch)

Not much to report, DD had sickness bug, which spread through the house......
Money still in one hand out the other just as quick, although I've really pushed the repayments I think I put about 25% back on cards, so new snowball for Jan, and lighten up a bit so don't need to use the cards unless its an emergency.

Broke a tooth, woke up the other night, with my hand near the mouth, whether I was dreaming I had hit someone don't know, just got to sit tight till Mon to ring the dentist. My dentist is away this week, and due to the probs with my previous dentist, her hubby is the other partner, so its whisky on the gum!!

Car insurance - renewal came at £277, can't really complain its fully comp, legal cover, no claims protected and dad as named driver, thought shop around, the most expensive quote on comparison site was over £9k..........

Got Aviva coming it at £202, but thats new customers, - bit sticky ground as I was with them for 4 yrs till I jumped ship last yr for cheaper quote, next one is £235 with £45 cashback, so at least thats sorted in principle, just wait for the money to come in nxt week.

Had lunch out with a friend Thurs, she paid, I'd given her son a phone I didn't use, he was over the moon, she's having an early xmas prezzie, taking her to see Larkrise to Candleford - get one free admission at the theatre, so very mse.

Tomorrow DD and me meeting another friend for lunch, this month her treat, so were doing well.

Still haveing probs with the ins company from cancelling Julys holiday, despite a medical report there digging their heels in, but our lovely GP has wrote a letter for me, and as it was sealed down, I didn't get charged - normally £20 for a letter etc. Sort that out weekend and off in Mondays post.

My studying sports course upto date, decided not to bust a gut on it, I won't be doing any more sports courses, and I needed the extra points......we're get there.

DD bit upset, her boyfriend and one of her best friends are changing school, we had tears, her friend she lives 2 mins away, so she'll still she her. She went to youth club at the church hall, she'd sprayed half a bottle of perfume on... the bf was going to be there. The innoncence off it all.........

Just started getting my orders from Vistaprint, doing stocking fillers for dd, and dad, so they've got personalised mugs, t-shirts, baseball caps, - so hopefully she'll like them.

Think Sunday will be finish off the mincepies....... xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
