    Xmas Saver!
A bit stiff, poor dad had to do taxi service, met some friends for the xmas swopping prezzies, there about 20mins from Manchester airport, met halfway, then toddled off to ice-cream farm, got to make the day of it!!

Total rest 2mor, dd going out with her friend to a mini kids park, and then Mon shes off ice-skating, shes got a better social life than me.

Hope ur weather improves, and you can get out and about soon.

We now have the dining rm tidy, the front room looking less like santas grotto and more like semi-normal (messy).

We now have the xmas tree up in front room, thou it looks bit like leaning tower of piza!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Mums not going ice-skating, don't think thr rink could stand her weight, she'd be flat on herback all the time waiting for the attendents to pick her up!

DD of with her friend and her mum. I'd love to go... but just manage to stay upright as it is...

    xx

Just realised we have had a near "free" christmas.

Case of 12 Virgin wines - cost me £7.00 delievery - £20 from Open Uni discount, £50.00 from a voucher earnt last yr for Surveys

Cans - 3 for £20 from Asda, pack Tetley Bitter (reduced to £10 on rollback ) £30 - Courtesy of Asda...... from an issue had in store - complementary voucher!!

Turkey, Pork, and set of festive food - £30.00 Iceland - from Love to shop vouchers - misdelieveires Royal Mail (saved them throughout the yr)

Panto tickets - all been half price -

    So overall a lovely xmas.

DD enjoyed her day out they went to a childs theme park, and that had an iceskating rink, thou aparently she was on her bum a few times...... Then they went to McDonalds.

Poor me battleing the queues in Asda and the retail park, getting the last must have wii game - hannah Montana.... took an hr to get off the retail park.......

Glad not hittong any shosp tomorrow.. xx

I know we've still got a yr to go, but as all Decembers payments have gone, very plzed to say I beat my target

    £5517.30

I thought I was pushing it at 5k, as my snowball was 3k.

I know when I started this thread, it was more a kick up the rear, and hopefully have some positives, as the last 3 yrs was a roller coaster.

I'm plzed to say got through Christmas, a few family niggles, but what family doesn't, it times like this its like frustrating, I'd be so much easier getting on the floor, and spralling out to wrap prezzies, (unfortunatelty my back would let me do about 5mins - then fire bridgage job to get up), and mum helping (hindering bless her), In away I should of left her be, it was the 1st time she had picked up her knitting needles since her stroke, dd's ex-nursery teacher is expecting, doing a little package, so where it use to take a day,or 2 at most, to run up a cardi, its now a week, it frustrates her, and if she gets stressed it muddles her.....
I wasn't the best as my OU exam result was due a week b4 xmas, if I had of failed OU wouldn't of let me study for 3 yrs (unless I paid, and upto 2k a course - no go- it all goes back to when we had the carp with nxt dr.)
    I passed.........
Also Christmas also pulls the heart strings as they were told at Christmas that their 1st daughter was dying, she passed away 3 mths later of cancer. When the 1st specialist had said that she'd be up + running and back to normal baby.

    Lost Whisky

There was a lot of positives, dd and I, met a lovely lady and her dgs.
We now have a mad Springer Spaniel called Bailey
DD and me went to Tunisia
I went on the Orinet Express for 2nd time
Took a Consolidation loan- overall save 2k in interest
Got Dom Rep booked for 2011
Off to the Ritz in 2011 for afternoon tea - 40th present / for hitting 5k target - best mates treat

    Plans for 2010
    Dec/Jan
Get my bday and xmas list sorted asap - budgets etc
Raid my stock cupboard - over buys etc - allocate for prezzies

Again set myself 5k challenge before end of year,
When Jans credit card bills come in- do new snowball.

Set myself a financial set up,monthly (done it on thrify thread - work for me,might help someone else) -The idea start of month do a budget planner, end of month review actual spends, any major variances -nip in bud and then have a c/f sheet, so can save again for car ins, and other bills that aren't monthly.

Again just baby steps, still got this OU course to do, so if I do 1 month at a time, plan is not to get stressed!! xx
