I try to get involved with the PTA, and do bits where I can but I just don't have the time with everything else I have to do. We had a school governor position come up and school and I considered it for a split second but then read that you had to do a kind of proposal about yourself and then you be put up against others and they would vote  Unfortunately (or fortunately) we don't know that many people in our village so I decided to leave them to fight it out amongst themselves
I was lucky went I went for govenerors post, as there were 3 available, and only 3 of us applied, thou writing that intro to yourself, more nerve wracking for me than sitting an OU exam!
We had a brilliant day in Rhyl, the weather was lovely, thou we were surprised to see that the kids funfair on the front had closed and stripped down, thought they'd have been open weekends till half term. We had wonder down the market, she had a new umberalla! All shattered, but enjoyed the day. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
MIndblowing! How you stay so strong I'll never know! DD is lucky to have you and I'm glad after all the dramas you managed to enjoy her birthday treats. xx
I think I may paint a pic of staying stong, but soft as anything, and all this court saga not helping, trouble is making my pig out on food... mouthful of good, lifetime on the hips!!
Just now trying to take a day at the time. so frustrating not knowing, as I could sorted, but on the other hand I'd be a ngtmare, so maybe the best not to know. May sound daft but being able to let steam off, vent etc on the thread, helps a lot. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Can not believe the weather we had for the 1st of the month, it was gorgeous... back to reality and get the months sorted.
1. Fill in diary - all OU courses, tutorials etc main course
2. Plan finances, as changing from IS to ESA, dreading that not going through.
3. Got to give mum £110 back, she lent me in Sept
4. B204 course offically starts on 8th Oct - to be 3 weeks in advance by half term week. The other 2 start Nov, wait till then
5. Write Halifax chase up bank charges saga, as under the old system been charged £1200....
6. Do a new SOA - as with ESA assesment I'm losing £120 per month (nightmare!!) the loan company are digging heels in, everyone been ok with reduced payments
.
7. Finish sorting xmas presents 3/4 way through
8. Sort cards - named ones
9. Upset the bank when I take in DDs change!
10, Use another diary (mid yr ones) and set all payment dates in
11. Sort out money, as opened a new account, with the idea that transfer bill money across, pay by cheque (create paper trail), so know thats dead money
12. Sort our items Vistaprint, as many freebies as possible
13. Got diabetic check up blood test (this week) docs follow up next week, need to ring for eye check at hospital!
14. Await patientally for new court date...
15. begging letters for school pta for christmas craft fair
16. Make christmas cake at weekend
17. Follow on flavoured vodka, so far have Pommegrate, want christmas pud flavour, limoncello, and another couple flavours
18. Bag of clothes list on ebay
19. Promised DD she could have a sleep over, - need to arrange some crafts to do (help!!!)
20. Gut dining room, and put rest of items back in bedroom.
---
Hopefully get them done, once know whats happening money wise, at least can get a kick start, just feel frustrated, guess it gives me something else to moan at!!
This 5k to 6k is really dragging on, know hit target by end of Oct, and at least as I've got everyone bar loan company to agree to a self managed dmp, there between 3 + 12 mth arrangements, but they did say that as long as payments were coming in, they see no problem keeping the debt in house, and then ring up with new figures as and when. Sept was 1st proper month, got 85% on time, the others I rang and said would be late. So hopefully Oct, practice month 2, get 100% right, then Nov fly through.

What a fun night, we had someone try and break in about midnight last ngt. Didn't sink in till this morning, how thick am I. Our neighbours dog is a pain in the backside, even if we open the back dr, (side of the house), it starts the dog off and then if Bailey goes outside, the dog starts barking and running round like a loony, then Bailey does the same, round madams trampoline, is like a dirt track.
Bailey scratching door to go out, so let him out, then I heard loud voices, thought mum had an accident and fell out of bed and dads shouting, then realised 2 male voices, thought neighbour facing been out and come back home, Bailey would not move from side of shed and barking for England. So thought make me pomegrate vodka while hes outside, waiting to lock up. For about 5 mins he was going mad, thought dad come down soon, went out to get him in, and the back gate was being shoved, luckly its got all the stuff that hasn't gone back to bedroom. Didn't even click, thought it was vibration from him barking... this morning, front gate wide open, fence all pushed down, bear in mind we've got 12ft high wire fence, and small fence, thats all broke where they climbed across.
Dad was apparently flat out, mum heard it but like me thought it was the neighbours... rang police to log it, and there sending an officer around 2mor for a statement.
Good news we've had a keysafe fitted it was £50, so god forbid the stairlift breaks down and mum gets stuck while were out, she'd have to ring the fire bridgage, and otherwise they'd have to break the door down or get a locksmith out, so pays for itself.
Hopefully trouble free night 2ngt. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
oh eck hope your ok. x0

Hope you are OK, that must be really scary. One of our neighbours had a young lad/man in their kitchen on a tea time one Sunday a few weeks back
I still wonder whether it was someone looking for her son who is away in the army but who had been home and had gone back to barracks earlier that day. I have since bought a plaque for our garden gate that says "shut gate dogs running loose" (which they are I am not lying) but I am thinking by making people aware we have dogs, they would be put off and choose someone else
Good for Bailey, mine wouldnt do a bloomin thingJust keep swimming!0 -

That sounds a gd idea, for the plague, think Bailey most proberly would have lay on hos back for belly and boo boo tickles...
To update - the police rang earlier, and there coming to take a statement 2mor. (i was going to ask for tall, dark and handsome, but knowing my luck!!!). xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I don't know what it is about the uniform though as blokes you wouldn't look twice at in the street become far more appealing in a uniform be it a policeman or a fireman
Are they not going to send forensics round to take finger prints or anything? I would think two days later any prints might be contaminated?
Just thinking of the bright side, you would probably be bored stiff if you had a bog standard boring life......Never a dull moment
Just keep swimming!0 -
Hope you got a nice policeman in the end... How frightening for you all though. Almost better that you didn't realise what was going on as might have been scarier. Lucky they didn't get anything and well done to Bailey! Barking is enough to scare some of these young idiots off...!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0

Sods law I have a woman officer!! typical, but the good thing there wasn't any break ins or damage anywhere locally, so it seems to be a short cut across a 12ft fence, so go and upset the headmaster 2mor when I tell him the fence is broke.. as its teh schools!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
