Me neither, but then I’ve got a bi-turbo S4 which performs, is refined, handles etc etc.
My dear old dad on the other hand just wants a car to pootle down to the old age centre for lunch and a once a week trip to the supermarket and so he would go for price and warranty.
Horses for courses
I bet your dear old dad doesn't watch !!!!!! Clarkson either.;)0 -
To be honest, a lot of these faults would have shown up on a good test drive, and not mysteriously appeared days later. I would be extremely suspicious of a five year old car which has done only 23000 miles, because that could indicate an old driver (ever heard them at junctions or pulling away, revving the guts out of the poor beast and slipping the clutch), or even a "clocked" car.
Take it back to the garage, and get them to put all of the things right, particularly the clutch and the hazard lights (???).
Good luck,
Andy
I bought my 3 yr old ford ka last year with 9,000 on the clock...yes owned by a grandma.
It's a gem. Never had a single problem with it. You can find them...but Ford is hopefully better than Daewoo.0 -
Better than your point of view, sell a car the RAC say the clutch has gone in, call the customer an !!!!!!, then expect to need several goes to fix it. Usual for you is it? Or is the bulb enough for you to fix and call it a day?
Under the SOGA both parties have to keep to their side:
The customer has every right to report problems.
The dealer has to be given enough attempts at fixing the car and making it comply with the SOGA before the customer can reject the car or go down the CAB/TS route.
If this went to Court and the car was rejected before the dealer was given chance to fix it, then the Court would favour with the dealer.0 -

You’ll get car dealers a bad name posting stuff like the above, on the other hand I suppose it might be what car dealers want us to believe but in the real world……
If the car is substantially sub standard then it can be rejected and a refund obtained. This has to be done within a fairly short “reasonable” time.
There is no obligation on the consumer to allow the seller to attempt to repair the fault, it can be rejected straight away.

Sorry, I didn't realise you were. Most others and myself wouldn't know one.

I’m not and you are unlikely to tempt me into trying it with chat up lines like that. (in fact I’m struggling to think of a line that would tempt me into trying it)
Caused offence? Get real, as your sig says it’s only a forum.0 -
