Used car I bought 6 days ago-i'm finding problems-what to do?

Have you actually done the proper test for a slipping clutch.. driving up a steepish hill in a high gear and seeing if the engine revs rise without the cars speed rising...
As you are a new driver it seems like you could just be using the clutch wrong and there may be nothing wrong with it. You could also have damaged the clutch yourself0 -
Golden rule of motoring, never buy Korean.0

And in my lessons, I was taught to hold the car at a junction on the clutch and creep forward.
Whoever told you that is a complete and utter idiot - if it was a proper driving school they should be ashamed and you should tell them so.
If it was your dad/boyfriend etc. tell them they wrong in no uncertain terms.
I hope you got your money back from your driving school.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
really, really no need for this.
If she has been taught that way, and shes young, she wont know any better - till now.
Post #15 was actually quoting and replying to post #4. It wasn't aimed at the OP.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
thanks shelly, but my post still stands. no need for rudeness - even though i agree with him. :rotfl:make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

To be honest, a lot of these faults would have shown up on a good test drive, and not mysteriously appeared days later. I would be extremely suspicious of a five year old car which has done only 23000 miles, because that could indicate an old driver (ever heard them at junctions or pulling away, revving the guts out of the poor beast and slipping the clutch), or even a "clocked" car.
Take it back to the garage, and get them to put all of the things right, particularly the clutch and the hazard lights (???).
Good luck,

When i'm doing test drives I politely point out where the handbrake is and also kindly point out how expensive clutches and dual mass fly wheels can be to replace...0
