  • dolly - ((((hugs)))) to you because your dh is being such a d.i.curly c kicking k!

DS1's cheese bread was really, really lovely. That's going to become a firm favourite.

Have changed both the boys beds but have noticed that one of the duvet covers had a big split in it so have just sewn that up and then I'm going to get ds1 to sort his desk out while I do some more sorting out.

Not done any flying since earlier, altho DH has made a lovely Coq au Vin (and turned my kitchen into something off How Clean is your House!). He did a good job tho, I'm not complaining, especially as he listened to me telling him the other day how unhygenic it is to leave empty packets that had meat in them lying around the place and he has actually thrown away the empty chicken packets! :T This is a first! Usually you go out there and there are flies feasting off the empty meat packets.

    Hugs Pigpen and Dusty

Wow Kaz, that is a big project!

    Welcome Zoelikesjam and Zara Elise

Thanks everyone for your kind messages. I’ve not replied to him yet, was waiting to see what happens. I’ve reported it to Watchdog and have just left a message for a copper on another thread to PM me, as I’d like to bend his ear and see what he says about reporting it officially. I do agree, I think that’s the route to take.

GnB, I’ve seen Lady Liberty on FB, she is suffering majorly from the BD and that’s why she’s not been around. I think she’s in pain too.

Big hugs Dolly, when you are in bed tonight hit him really hard and then pretend you'd had a nightmare and didn't know what you were doing.

Rose - im so sorry it was not the outcome you wanted. :( Deffo report it to gumtree... and id probably give your local police station a ring too... the guy is obviously targetting people in your area so you may not be the only one!

I've just read through all 45 pages... rosepink thanks for the welcome and good on you for reporting it. What an awful person to do that! Somehow they always manage to justify themselves, that because they signed a contract and they're not targeting the elderly etc blah blah blah. Well done for spotting it too. Gumtree can be notorious for scammers, like craigslist... never even worth it on there.

Ooooh, so I'm sitting on tenterhooks, when's Fridays list coming?

    Evening all,

Sorry it was a scam Rose and well done Johanne on spotting it.

    Hugs to Dolly.

I'm still not finished. I had to go and pick up the car from the garage, then i went to Nev's to pick up the suitcase, then Tesco, chippy and home.

We've eaten and i've cleaned up from that, bathed Ds2 and put him to bed. I now need to finish my list and packing. Why did i leave it all to today:rolleyes:.

    Evening ladies,

Welcome to the newbies, i saw your other thread Zoelikesjam, sounds like a big project to sort your house out!

:wall: that is what i feel like doing <

haha....i'm getting there with all your help though, and for that i am so very thankful. I never thought i'd get anywhere, but with my little lists, and this meal planning lark and thrifty shopping i feel like a new mummy again.... I have something called bi-polar disorder so i get very 'high' and very low, and have had some terribly dark months, and now the move has taken place i feel like a different person. its amazing how circumstances can affect you. And i'm loving MSE so much! Its great reading and chatting so thanks everyone!

Other than mattress turning, 10 year old DD2 did all of this herself - hence the DVD - Beverley Hills Chihuahua (shuddder...but compensated for by very late night viewing of Watchmen)

Ah yes, went with ex/OH (not sure what he is at mo - he has behaved appallingly, although out of character, but I was not prepared to tolerate him under my roof as a result) to see his new GP. He has been diagnosed with severe depression and has finally, after about 25 years of misery and being told to pull himself together , been prescribed some medication. Collect prescriptions from chemist (as they NEVER seem to have any medication in stock, other than expensive OTC remedies), but found time to discover very nice make up brushes in bargain bin being sold off for 20p each, a really nice ivory eyeshadow and a pinky coral nail polish. :D

And bit of banking done in town, 3 loads of washing, sorted out some of my wardrobe, fixed a broken bedside lamp, cleaned some lightswitches and powerpoints, and cleaned dishwasher filter (yuk yuk YUK! I don't care about doing the litter tray, cleaning up furballs, washing and blow drying the long haired mog when she has a diarrhoea related accident, or anything else, but that filter is soooooo soooooo gross, even though the plates are always scraped before they go in)

Then because remembered to buy tube of superglue, managed to repair massive crack in nail (have only just stopped chewing nails after 35 years, so bit protective towards my film star talons) with the assistance of a cocktail stick and some rizla papers left behind when OH moved out. No fancy silk wraps for me!

Then treated self and DD2 to bit of junk food - 2 chicken burgers sliced up and put into wholemeal pitta with vast amounts of salad and a few oven chips. Yum yum.

Now DD2 is going to immerse her feet in footspa and I will paint her toenails bright purple!

Now - what is on for Friday?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
