    Wednesday Wonders! ~ Bathroom & Study Done!!:D:D:D
    Level One
    Level Two
    Level Three

I have definitely earned my star today. It is extremely hot and humid here, and I looked like I'd been caught in a rainstorm when I finished the bathroom!

I was on the allotment just after eight this morning, as there is stuff I want to finish before we go away, and then the rest of the monring I was running a taxi service to and from the gym, picking up and dropping off various combinations of the teens and their friends. I did have a break after lunch, as DS1 and I had our haircuts. The hairdresser has a very nice courtayrd garden we sat in while we were waiting. Gave me a chance to read two month's of Country Homes and Interiors, which I love, but never buy, and a travel mag as well.

rosepink - very sorry that it was a scam. The right place is there waiting for you I'm sure.

pigpen - early bed, stiff drink. For a)the kids b) you - or the other way around if you prefer!!;)

kazmeister - DS1 seemed to have a good time for his birthday, he was quite happy just chilling at home, and then out in the evening. he's having a barbecu next week for friends. It should have been this week, but him being him, he forgot that he'd actually need to tell them more than a couple of hours in advance... Have you found the perfect shoes yet?

Sorry Rosepink, just glad you weren't caught out by him and were on the ball. Nice spot too Johanne, seems this is becoming quite widespread !

Just had HM fishcakes for dinner (yummy!) - not much more to do now except clean the cooker . I never got my cakes baked but should find time to do them tomorrow after MIL arrives ;).

Have a good evening everyone xx

    Evening ladies,

Well done Johanne, Rosepink i would report them to the police if you havent already. Surely that is obtaining money by deception or fraud:confused:

Have you put your kids on ebay yet Pigpen?

Huge hugs to all the ill flyers, has anyone seen Lady L lately? Hope she is ok.

Welcome to the newbies, i saw your other thread Zoelikesjam, sounds like a big project to sort your house out!

The engineer has been and fixed my tumble drier:j Omg, i have never seen such a high tech diagnostic test for a washer/dryer! It was really interesting, apparently i have used too much washing powder 4 times since i got it:rotfl: Seriously!

Dinner has been had and was scrummy:D Just going to do the dishes. Haven't got a great deal done today. Nurse has been out and taken the pressure dressing off LO's wound and it looks ok but she has been in a bit of pain so has needed lots of cuddles and attention.

I haven't seen LadyL, either gnb, and am worried about her too - I texted her on Tuesday as she cancelled our meet-up last week, to see if she felt up to it this week, and I haven't had a reply. Hope she's ok. I'm not on Facebook, so has anyone heard from her on there?
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Do they still have post of the month on here? If so I think we should nominate Johanne's warning to Rose. So sorry it was a scam but very glad you had the heads up for it didn't deserve to happen to you.

I've done very little flying but I have:

    Labelling DS3 school sweetshirts
Put the pillow cases back on the bed - OH will have to do the rest as my shoulder won't let me
Finished off a bit more of Nan's Estate
    Checked out some interest rates
    Changed DS3 swimming lesson day

Just having a break before finishing tidying up the kitchen. It is pouring here.

  • todays list is DONE can i have another star please?:j:j

had an unexpected visit from a friend today, not seen her in a few months so it was good to catch up! :D

really not looking forward to tomorrow at all, could do with a drink tonight but can't as i have to drive 75 miles to my mums(only ever done it once) and it is meant to be raining as well, have to go to the funeral on my own(ok i will be with family) as there is no one here who can have DD so DH could come with me - not that he would anyway:mad: and then i have to drive the 75 miles back home, can't stay over as DH needs the car for work on saturday morning:mad:

DH is really ****ing me off at the minute, almost everything isn't good enough for him, last week he was complaining that the house was a mess - it was the day after my nan passed away - and said some hurtful things, i dind't show that i was upset then but i wish i had - he basically said 'someone had to go and die and so my wife stops doing the housework':mad: the more i think about it, the more furious i am getting, he is never sympathetic at all, he leaves his carp lying around the house all the time and expects me to keep tidying it up, but if i was to throw away something important, it would be my fault! really feel like walking out tomorrow and not coming back at all.......

sorry for the major rant, just needed to get it out of my head

Dont think post of the month exists anymore unfortunately. Otherwise Johannes would be a shoo in.

Hugs Dolly, men are really crap sometimes:mad: Hope the funeral goes as well as it can tomorrow and i think you need to have a serious chat with hubby, that was a horrible thing he said!
