How bizarre is that???? I only claimed in april and having just got my paperwork out to triple check it deffo says £20 each for both earnings and matinence!

System is madness isnt it?! Sooner i get a job the better! Getting fed up with all the red tape of it all. Spent last 5 months looking and applying for something though and so far had no luck!! :(

It must have changed on 1st April and they didn't bother letting anyone else know.
There is a hormone that is produced in your body in pregnancy and that hormone is produced in tiny amounts in very early pregnancy, but that amount increases quite quickly in the early stages. The test strip reacts with the hormone to become coloured, so in very very early pregnancy, the strip may not change colour (not enough of the hormone yet) or may just turn very faintly coloured. A few days later, if the person is pregnant, then the strip that didn't become coloured before, may do now, as there is more of the hormone present.

    hope that helps?!

    human chorionic gonadatropin

The production of this peaks at 6 weeks when the placenta begins working.. though not at full capacity.. it is almost untracable after 12 weeks as well as the placenta maintains th epregnancy this is no longer required.. it is thought this is the hormone which makes you feel sicky and tired too.. hence that improves after 12 weeks when this is no longer produced is sufficient quantities to have an effect

Big hugs to fedup about your poor elderly doogie. It's so sad when they go, even when they have had a long life and it is expected - it's still hard to accept that they're not there anymore. Thinking of you and your family at this hard time.

Polly Puss looks gorgeous pigpen. I keep meaning to ask - how is Hazel now? What does she make of the new arrival(s)?

greenbee well done on doing so well at the interview - it did sound as though you'd researched well and prepared for the interview - hope it all works out for you and that if you get the job, you don't have to do much flying (aeroplane-wise). Fingers crossed for you.

Don't know if you'll pop on here soon, but congrats.gif
to Tia and her OH on the birth of their daughter.

Thanks for the get well wishes rose - I'm still very bunged up and had a really bad night's sleep last night as there were a couple of mosquitoes buzzing around the ceiling and I was scared they were going to bite me (bugs love me) - managed to kill one, but the other one must've flown back out of the window. Well done for all of the living room flying you've done - hope you enjoy having your visitor over.

Hugs for sarahshattered - hope you managed to clean up ok after DD's friend's accident.

Had a nice day out with OH in Southampton yesterday - was nice to be back there again (went to uni there) as it brought back some nice memories of when OH and I were first together. We went to Ikea and I treated him to a 9-piece cooked breakfast, and I had an almond croissant, and we had free tea/coffee/hot chocolate as I signed up for a family card. Then we looked around thoroughly, tried out some of the mattresses, but then the guy told us that their matresses were too big to fit on UK bedsteads as their's were 10cm longer than a standard double. We had hotdogs before going into town. We went to Debenhams to see what they had, and their range consisted of about 5 beds and that was it - think the people that ran the bed section must've gone into administration, and just left a few bits of stock behind as there were no staff around either. I did however, manage to get a new watch strap for the swatch watch my Mum gave me. We also looked in John Lewis, but they were expensive. Then we went back to Ikea to have cake and coffee as I love their almond cake (bought a frozen one to take home too). We decided to go back to the beds bit, cos I was sure that when I'd looked on their website, I'd seen matresses that were uk doubles, and I was right, so we've got our eye on this one if we don't find any others anywhere else - it's so comfy, especially after you've been shopping all day - the only downside, is my fitted sheets won't fit if we get it, cos the mattress is 26/7cm thick, and my sheets are already a tight fit - will have to buy some flat sheets and just make the bed with blanket corners.

Sorry I can't remember off the top of my head who it was, but whoever was looking for fabric, Ikea do it too.

2 loads of washing done today - think I'm going to have a little lay down on the bed with my little puddytat and read the book my Mum has lent me. OH will be home from work soon as he finishes at 4pm and he's on holiday for 2 weeks starting from tonight. :)

Hugs from a distance to anyone who wants or needs one.

    sexymouse xx

    DONE!!! :D:D:D

All flying done today, leaving tomorrow free :T

Flying helped me take my mind of my doggie whose has gone now. He had a long long life and came on holiday with us walking and climbing. He was seventeen and a half at the end and he hung on as long as he could. He is at peace now sleeping as he liked.

Just trying to get used to him not being here now and it will take a while. My younger dog is two and a half and he is getting used to him not being here too. It is like losing a relative, even though it was right and for the best for him. The vet said he only a had a few days left at the most.

My eyes are quite sore from crying and weeping, I look a bit puffy and red around the eyes for now.

This is a new phase of life now without him and it is just getting used to him not being there after all this time.

No more dog bereavement talk after this post on this thread now as I need to move on and not remind myself and dwell too much in the future.

Thanks to everyone for all your kind words :A as usual the support on here is fab :T

  • Afternoon all

We are back from the no so sunny holidays!! Had over an inch of rain on Tuesday and more on Monday and Wednesday.... still it was nice on Thursday - we drove from Bath to Eden Project - had a great time but I was shattered all day yesterday.

Traffic was horrid today on the way home especially around Oxford and at Peterborough services on the A1.

Had some great news - Mum and Dad have now got a bungalow - 2 bedrooms and the Council will paint it and they should get the keys in a few weeks as I have also asked that the locks are changed as they are dreadful and the patio needs leveling. They will need new carpets throughout as they are dire and very dirty. I am so pleased but still more work for me in the short term - tomorrow we will be going down to clear the loft - hopefully most of this can go straight to the tip. The 2 GT's will be coming too so I will at least have some help for this bit. Not so dear sister has still not lifted a finger to help!! It was worth driving a 100 miles back from holiday to view the bungalow with Mum and Dad and loosing a day of the holiday!
