oo Greenbee that is some list.
Start with the boudoir then you KNOW that your reward will be fragrant linen in a clean and freshly aired room when you do make it back to bed! I will probably be envious when I am hiking up some minor incline dripping with sweat....mumofjusttwo wrote: »I also think that starting on the bedroom first is a good idea, Greenbee, as puts you in the right frame of mind when you wake up in the morning.
But my bedroom is the worst  as it's still got piles of clothes all over it from when I started sorting them out
I think I'll have about 4 loads of laundry, so I'm off to put the first one in. I've collected all the bins from round the house so will sort the rubbish and make sure I move things back into the right rooms. Downstairs shouldn't take too long as I did it thoroughly last week and haven't used it much since. Upstairs hasn't had quite a much TLC but it should be reasonably OK... just needs a major dust and hoover...0 -
Morning all. Think I am signing the pledge.
Did a 2HI this morning and got to the bottom of the ironing mountain, and I may get a (late) spare oom star...
fedup I am so sorry about your doggle. Sat here in floods of tears.
valli I took another test after a positive, just to be sure. I also, with DD2, got a negative result and did another 'cos I just didn't believe it, and I was right...I can't even think about people who are pregnant and don't want to be, though.
summer holiday list
put stuff in loft

reclaim spare room
briwax fireplace x2 not so sure about this, mum says it needs cleaning first!

Thanks for the Laura Ashley suggestion (can't rmember who, sorry.) their website is a bit pants for actual upholstery fabric, though. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Mini rant alert
OK not really a big deal but
Went out this morning - up to library - down to ATM - into Mr T for bits & pieces
There is a new cafe beside Mr T so I decided to treat myself after all the painting.
It looks really good - all home made stuff. Got a bit of a surprise at the prices
Americano £1.90 - I only pay £1.75 in city centre. Scones & croissants similar.
Still it was a treat so I waited - only one waiter (sorry 'waitperson' according to sign)
fair enough, but 'I'll be with you in a moment' would have helped.
Then realised he was taking the order from the table behind me - which had been empty when I came in!
So I left - watched by the older man at the counter (manager?) who made no attempt to stop me - and it must have been obvious why I was leaving.
As I said - no big deal, but when you were treating yourself...
A friend did remark that they seem popular with the 'yummy mummies' so maybe I didn't fit their customer profile.
OK rant over - sorry to have bored you if you got this far :rotfl:0 -

erm - you know how they say they are not 100% accurate - well if they say you are PG you are...if they say you are not PG you might well be. If AF doesn't show try again. The innacuracy only applies to nergative results (I can explain this to yu scientifically if you like but don't want to bore the pants off everyone)
ah, i didn't realise this, i might well do another test then, as i still feel like i was with DD! your right they should make it clear that the accuracy only applies to a negative result and not a positive! can you explain it scientifically and as simple as possible as well?
with DD i did do 3 tests, first one as i was late and i am never late, 2nd one so i could show DH and the 3rd just to make sure! lol!
erm, what else did i want to say...... erm ...... sorry to hear about your dog fedup hope soappie has a lovely day today and hugs to everyone else cos i just can't remember what i was going to say now!!
before i went out yesterday there was
1 sinkful of pots(there was 2 but he washed 1 lot before i went)
kitchen floor needed sweeping
living room needed hoovering
this was the bare minimum that needed doing and this is what i came home to
2 sinkfuls of pots(added to the 1 sinkful that he never got round to washing)
kitchen floor needs sweeping
LR needs hoovering
plus this extra mess
dining table needs wiping
kitchen worktops need wiping
DD's bedroom looks like a bombsite(even though it was only done on thurday)
so i was not impressed at all, i was out for 9 hours doing something that wasn't a very nice thing to have to do, including 2 hours of driving and i came home to that mess, doesn't sound a lot but after i had spent all week getting the house tidy the least he could have done was make sure i walked into a clean and tidy house - after all, that is what happens when he has been out at work all day, every day, the house is clean and tidy and his tea is practically on the table!
i have no idea what he was doing, i asked DD if daddy had played with her and she said 'no he hasn't' .... scratch that i know what he was doing, sat on his backside all day watching the cricket - and he thinks us SAHM's sit and watch daytime tv all day!
so all morning i have been playing catch up, instead of just giving everywhere a quick s&s, i am having to redo everything that i have already done this week, i have no idea what we are having for tea tonight, DD wants to go swimming and i promised her we could go so i can't go back on my word now, we have to pick him up from work after swimming and then i have to make tea and i JUST DON'T WANT TO!!0 -
HHC at 12.30 anyone? Must make a start on the RofD - sitting here worrying about stuff ain't going to help
ETA on my own then!!Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board0 -
just finished the kictchen, wiped everything down whilst singing and dancing like a nutter to my mama mia sound track haha. OH is at the police station making a statment atm so cant get started on DS's room till he's back, can you imagin paintin with three under five?! Oh is not impressed he's had to spend all morning down ps, my ex decieded to follow him and threaten me the other day, nice...he's in trouble though cus i have a non molestation order which means he cant do anything horrible,
Ok rant over lol¬! Going to go and cook some tomatoe soup whilst he's out, then i'll go do lou's room x0 -
Afternoon all
Not a whole load going on in the Dusty household other than the dailies.
We have got the old water tank (original 1920s iron) down from the loft and OH has been up there sorting stuff out - I have no idea what until he brings it all down after he is back from dropping the boys at cricket.
DS3 at a party but due back soon.
Plan this afternoon is to go to Potters Bar to get school shoes for DS3 and running shoes for DH as his birthday present. Then on to watch the cricket.Ill from tablets and had a disasterous couple of days holiday - wasp sting in neck x4, broken down car, sick baby and a 6 year old with severe burns to her right armwe were only away from home for 1 night in Sheffield !!??
Ouch on all accounts hope all those injured/unwell are recovering including the car.
I am worn out, what with an ATM that has not worked since Thurs night and will not be working this w/e it was a very busy day at work yesterday.
I used to work on an ATM helpdesk so have an understanding of how fraught things are when they breakdown. That is a long time for it to be out, are you waiting for a part?I LOVE that, as we trawl round the forums we think...ooo I know a flylady who could answer this! We're like the CAB of MSE :rotfl:I've done it myself...
For some reason this makes us sound like 'wonder pets' :rotfl::rotfl:The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Dolly - sweetie you are approaching meltdown, step off the merry-go-round for a while and give yourself time to grieve. Grief can disturb lots of other feelings we have about relationships and issues and can make it really hard to separate them out as they can all become one big pain/issue. Sending you lots of love x
Crafty - when the yummies have gone and the business fails they will wonder if they should have spent more time on a wider audience. Hope you can treat yourself in some other small way xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
