Mind you the few times I have strayed up there apart from the frankly shocking weather and general bleakness there are some incredible areas, can we redefine North??:beer:Unsecured debt £0 :beer:

Anecdotal evidence aside, I think those seasoned enough to have experienced different areas of the country can genuinely say there are some gorgeous parts of the country in all parts.
I used to think that the difference was that buying in a "really nice" place darn sarff was out of reach for many; the bargain places were up northwards/wales/outer regions.
This is not the case any longer. If you want 'black n white' buildings, quaint villages and countryside within commutersville of main cities, expect to pay for it.0 -
To be fair it is each to their own and for most the thing that defines home is family and friends.
But I do feel for the people who have poor paid jobs/low incomes in the south they must have it fairly hard, harder than the equiverlent people in the north.0 -

The housing costs in the south make it so hard.
If you work in say McDonalds or something similar or any chain type of firm, the pay is the same the UK over, but the cost of living varies so much:eek:0
