Penguins 24 month countdown!

Morning all, hope everyone is having a nice Saturday.

Have been working all week so having a weekend catching up on a few bits and pieces. I have two assisgnments both due in on Wednesday so I will be cracking on with them this weekend. It is the last one for one of the courses and my marks for the other two assignments have been 95% and 90% so I could get a distinction if I do well in this one and then in the final assignment - not getting my hopes up too much yet though!

Off shopping soon, DD and DS seem to be having a growth spurt so need to get them some new shoes and need to do a food shop and get some piggy food too. Ben seems to have a sore on her foot so will have to keep an eye on that, they are off to the vet soon to get their nails clipped so will get him to look at that too.

Money wise should be ok, Dads birthday next week and brothers wedding at the end of the month as well as the extra costs of having the kids off school so wont be putting much into the savings account but still hope to manage to have something to put in there. Will do a money update later when I have had chance to work it out.

Evening all, hope everyone is well. Have been having a big massive catch up tonight as I have been feeling a bit more human, If I havent got to your diary yet dont worry I will - there is no hiding!!

Have a had a hard few weeks. Working lots of overtime and lots of assignments being due in at the same time. Think I am working 2 nights overtime again next week too but needs must. I get my pay rise this month (which will probably be the last one for a long long time!) so hoping for about an extra £50 a month. I am going to do some figures soon to see where we are.

Very expensive month this month and only 2 weeks left until brothers wedding. OH is still mourning the fact that he is going to lose a Bank Holiday weekend. He was saying about nipping out during the evening to do a few hours and I think he was only half joking :rotfl:

I've been feeling a bit bleurgh the last few days. Nothing I can put my finger on but tired, snappy and everything is getting on my nerves - I imagine it is just hormonal. I am thinking about getting my implant taken out after the wedding. I am on my second one so have had one for nearly 6 years. My periods have always been all over the place and I cant imagine it does you much good. I have been on some sort of hormonal contraception for the last 10 years (apart from both pregs) and I wonder if having a break might do me good? Anyone got any thoughts?

If we are going to have another baby now will be the time. I have a very small window of time (how business like does that sound!) before I hopefully graduate which brings with it training and possibly new jobs. My kids are 7 and 5 now too so dont want to be leaving it much longer

Your DH sounds like mine...lol...but that is how we think...lol..everything arranged around the days we lose least money...lol

Sorry to hear that you're feeling unwell and hope it is only hormonal or it could be tiredness catching up with you.

Think if it's right now to have a baby then go ahead..at least you are thinking it through.10 years is a lot of hormones from pill type things and I guess there'll be a lot of research on the net regarding timescales for taking the pill.I'm sure whatever conclusion you come to will be right for you and your family.

Well maybe MSE has roosted and he is just thinking of all the lovely dosh- you could say to him that he could drive all the drunkards home at the end of the night and kill two birds with one stone:D

I think it is a good idea-you never know with those things how they affect the body:o I couldn't take anything but luckily i am good at abstinence:D

I personally would get a new job under your belt and then go from there- see how it goes, i know you are thinking have another now, but it will be hard at anytime-shock to the system each time.

That's just my point of view- but i am sure you will do what is right for you- talk it through with OH and see what he says.

Not sure there is ever a right time to have children. I wanted 4 so we just got on with it. Looking back now I wonder how we managed and coped with 4 under 5, especially me taking them swimming every week. Do what feels best for you and yours.

Thanks everyone. Will have another chat with OH and maybe get the implant out in a couple of months and just see if anything happens.

Shiny day today so washing out and another load in, it seems never ending at the minute with the holidays. Need to devise a revision plan which no doubt I will spend longer on that the actual revision :rotfl:and start some research for my 4000 word final essay on company law. I also need to decide on a topic for that.

Kids have gone out with Dad for breakfast for an hour or so, so I am off to be productive. Back later xxx

Morning all, hows life? Hope everyone is ok.

Had an ok week - last minute night out with friends on Weds - she has a super cool job and had to go to super cool restaurant to introduce herself to some super cool people so I went with her - chauffer there and back, free meal and wine, fab night out and didnt spend a penny. Three cheers for super cool jobs!

Anyways, 2 days overtime done and week at work finished. Kicking myself for forgetting to pay a bill. I bought clothes for a friends wedding a few months ago online from a catalogue site. Thought I had paid for them at the time - turns out I had opened an account. Had a letter this morning and have been charged for missing payment. Phoned them paid in full and they removed the charges luckily. That will teach me to pay more attention when ordering online!

Off out to town today to buy the last few bits I need for brothers wedding and to get some school uniform for the kids. Only a week till brother gets married - so excited!

Afternoon all, just a quickie from me. Off to the hotel now as my brothers wedding is tomorrow. Will be back Monday night and will catch up with everyone then. Everyone do a sun dance for good weather over Liverpool tomorrow.
