Hi penguin. I have just caught up with your whole diary. You are going great guns mate with the overpayments. I like the thing that you know how much you need to pay each month to reach your goal. I am now subscribed so will be popping in regularly. x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Just popping in for an updateBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ooh thanks for bumping BOB, I have been trying to catch up with everyone and didn't get as far down as my own!
Not much movement on the debt front, have paid a few minimum payments bringing our debt total to 21503.12 and have almost 400.00 in savings towards RMA. Our month starts again in 9 days so will make some more payments then.
Still waiting for an assignment mark through from almost 2 weeks ago, I am so impatient but dont want to put too much effort into the next one yet until the feedback from the last one.
OH and I have been talking about 'the future':eek: now that debt freedom is almost in sight (seems funny saying that when we still have over 20k left!) I want a horse, he wants boats (fishing enthusiast) but the whole baby number 3 thing cropped up again which is something we are seriously considering and I have always wanted but want a 4 bedroomed house too - I am planning for debt freedom like we are suddenly going to become millionaires or something.
I need to get a grip before I start planning a round the world trip or something :rotfl: xxxxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Ok catch up with everyone
Luc, glad the parcel got to you OK, with the bad weather I was worried it would end up in a snow drift or something. I remember when I worked on a riding school getting 4 or 5 ponies in together which were no problem but the horses would be a nightmare to get in together and then there would be loads round the gate and one would refuse to go through it, how I never dislocated a shoulder I'll never know!
Taxi - hope you are ok, going to catch up on your diary now
ISOM - hows goldfish going? Either put the percentage minimum payment in (think its usually around 4% of balance) or if it something like a loan then your monthly payments and the snowball will do the rest.
MIT - hope you are well, thanks for reading and hope it didnt bore you too much, I promise to try and do something wildly exciting one day and surprise you all (eg Hi everyone just popping in to say I did a bungee jump today and rode a camel and went white water rafting!)
BOB - hope Mr Bob is doing everything he can to get in your good books!

Lol, it's funny what a sense of freedom does to us...
Me well i think i would sod off in a camper van-on my ownI would visit everywhere in England i have always wanted to go and do it all frugally. Absolute bliss and i wouldn't have to sort anyone else out only me
Scuttles off with list of places to visit.
Edit to say Mr.B trying to get in my good books is like Baldrick cooking a good meal.....Very hard to do, and i am no longer easily amused ( oh hark at me sounding all Queenie like)Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ooh that sounds lovely BOB, I have never been abroad and have no great desire to do so, although there are some places that I wouldnt mind visiting. I love holidaying in England. Obv the weather isnt great but we have so many amazing places to visit.
Quick update from me tonight because I am knackered (come back to that in a min). Still not much movement on the debt front but the month starts for us on Tuesday so will be making some payments then, everything seems so slow now, it used to be fast and furious with lots of little debts to pay off and now only the biggest ones left. Hard to believe that I used to have 17 different creditors and now have 5 and thats not because I have consolidated or moved any just ploughed through them!
Went out with OH tonight for our anniversary (not married, but still celebrate a date that is important to us) For the first time I got cards off my family. Think they have finally come round to us not being married and luckily my brother is doing this year which will divert focus of us for a bit!
Working rest of the week, DD staying at mum and dads tomorrow so only DS here tomorrow night, which means I will go to bed with him because he is always unsettled when she is not here. Mum and Dad are having him one night next week for the first time ever. He is nearly 5 and has never spent a night away from me so will be very strange!
OK back to the exhaustion. I have been getting on average 5/6 hours sleep a night since the kids were born. Long story short I am trying to get to bed before 1am for a couple of weeks and then make bedtime earlier until I am getting a decent amount of sleep.
I need an evening plan. Someone work it out for me please! I am too tired.
Get home at 6.30pm, OH goes to work. Need to fit in. Kids (playing with/homework/feeding/bathing etc. They go to bed at 8pm. Then its housework and studying, cooking my tea (doing SW so usually from scratch) Wii fit 30mins 3 times a week and maybe some relax time (MSE/FB/TV) I know I can fit it all in but I am so disorganised I usually get to now and realise I havent ironed uniforms etc. Housework does not come naturally to me (I should have been a bloke!) so better doing that early or I wont do it, I am a FlyLady of sorts and studying I find quite relaxing so that can be done later.
Anyways I am off to bed for my before 1am bedtime after I have put the washing that I forgot to do before I went out over the radiators and hope it is dry for the morning. I told you I was bad. I need a list!
Loves to all. x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Can I ask why DH doesn't give the kids their tea before you come in?..that could save you a job.
How about DH cooking a meal for all of you before you come in..that way it won't take long for you and the kids to have tea.
DH cooks tea here every night as it saves time...
I put a wash load in in the morning before going to work so it's ready to deal with when I get home.
You have loads to fit in...those are just a couple of ideas...
Could you alternate study/exercise daily...
Maybe allocate 30 mins per night to housework..it's amazing what can be done in 30 mins.0 -
Can you not eat at the same time as the children then you aren't cooking twice?

sorry realised not been on for few days...re much to do batch cooking would be a good idea; oh doing kids would help and agree alternating wii and study good idea but also imp to have time OFF so that you can recharge...happy anniversary too!!
Sorry really struggling re snowball!! I assume it does it on same date then and if so can I change it - I entered details on 1st but pay day on 20th...no movement with goldfish and with all will be mins until work sorted...emergency fund looking good though!

See I knew everyone would be able to sort me out! Think I was too sleepy to think straight!
OH does give the kids their tea most nights in fairness, he is very good but doesnt do the whole healthy balanced diet thing but it wont kill them to have a 'crap' tea once in a while. Batch cooking is defintely something to get the hang of. Can I literally freeze anything? ie if I make a lasagna tonight could I portion it and freeze it like that? Can stuff be cooked from frozen or does it need defrosting first? Can you tell I have never frozen anything before :rotfl:
Eating together I do try and do as much as I can but DS is still spoon fed but he can finger feed himself if it is sandwiches. OH would happily cook for me but being a big burly bloke cooking for someone on SW is a little beyond his grasps, he is a brill cook but everything is loaded with oil/butter etc but def some good ideas there thanks everyone.
Tbh, exercising is the bottom of my priorities and as I am currently doing 2 OU courses alongside I may limit this to weekends and maybe one night a week for the time being, so I dont get behind with the studying.
ISOM, the snowball I think works on the 1st regardless and just changes months as the months change (I realise that sentence makes no sense but hopefully you will get the gist of it!) Our month is 28 days long so we sometimes have a crossover where we make 2 lots of payments towards debts - that month the snowball looks really good! Will send you a PM too.
Taxi, hope things are good with you. I think that getting more done in the morning before we all leave the house is a good idea, I am hoping that once the bedtime is sorted I will be leaping out of bed full of energy. In the summer I try and get a wash on the line before I leave for work so it can be rained on while I am out :rotfl::eek:
Well this has turned into a bit of an epic one again! Will have a look at money situation and post something debt related in a min!
Hope everyone is well xxxPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000
