Sailorsam - are there really penguins coming to Liverpool, I'm going to have to go searching! Hi by the way I'm in Merseyside too xx

Taxi - I haven't heard from him since he went out and he usually phones if he gets bored so taking that as a good sign!

Skint - he makes most of his money from Christmas Eve onwards so I'll wave him off to work on Christmas Eve and don't usually see him again until the 2nd Jan xx

Evening all, hows things with everyone?

I am trying to do a budget for next month, which is great fun with unknown amounts coming in so I am just working out what we need to pay, taking off what we know is coming in (my wages and child benefit) and telling OH the figure left is what he needs to earn! At least it gives him a target :rotfl:

Have bought most of the kids christmas presents now, got the family ones left to go which are the hardest to buy for and then I am all done, have lots of wrapping paper and decorations etc in all ready and have christmas dinner at my mum and dads so no need to buy food - yeay :j

Having a fairly quiet weekend because I am knackered at the minute, dont know what has got into me lately, my get up and go has got up and b*ggered off! Derby day tomorrow, I am a blue and OH a red so it will be fun and games whatever the result.

Will be back later with this years money/debt plan - I can tell you are all excited to know that :rotfl:

    See y'all later xxxxx

  • So hope the blues win they have had a rotten time and OH always sulks when they lose!!

Good luck with sourcing pressies (I find siblings, inlawa and parents tough to buy for) and the DEC budget.

I feel for you trying to plan the budget...and look forward to seeing it.
We can't do a budget as do not know what is coming in at anytime.
We are the same as your OH ..working from 24 dec-2nd jan to hopefully earn loads to put towards jan/feb bills.

Bad result for us today but trying to take a postive from it OH is happy! Dread to think what state my workforce will be in tomorrow as according to Facebook most of them have been to one pub or another to watch the match - may need to do some whip cracking :rotfl:

So back to the debt plan for next year - are you sitting comfortably.

    Before christmas

    Pay off MBNA - £367.08

    By end of Jan 2010

Pay off N Power - £543.60 (long story how this came about to do with us changing supplier not entirely convinced by their figures so OH is chasing it up but it is included in our debt figures)

    Feb 01 2010

Pay off BarclayLoan 934.50 (this has 3 payments left of 315.00 so will free up lots of money when gone)

    By April 2010

RMA 2300.00 (hoping to offer a F + F for this, balance will be 2150.00 by April so hoping to settle for around 1200-1300 (they have offered good settlement figures before but havent been able to make use of it)

    August 2010

MCS (HSBC) 6506.80 - this is my biggest and last debt, I currently pay 290.00 pm to the DCA so by August 2010 balance will be around 3800.00, again hoping to negotiate F and F for about 2000.00 (again they have offered good settlements before)

So this will leave our big monster loan of OHs of around 13k - it is with a DCA so again hoping to save to offer a full and final by mid 2011 which will mean we are then debt free.

Does that sound like a plan! :confused:xxxx

That sounds like a fantastic plan as you'll be ridof 3 debts by April and be able to free that £315 p/m towards another debt.
Bet you'll be glad when you are down to the last one.
