Well done on getting rid of another CC.
It shouldn't be too bad going through the lights as long as it's not a saturday night.

Thanks for the bravery award BOB! We are hoping to go midweek. I love going it takes me back to my childhood, kids in the back of the car wrapped up in the duvet, usually asleep by the time we get there - oh the joys!

Have had a quiet weekend as DD has been ill, she started on new tablets for her bladder probs and she has had back pain and a temp the past few nights so have stopped the tablets until we can speak to her consultant tomorrow but hoping it is just a coincidence and not the tablets.

Have worked out that I need to pay 110.00 a week off my MBNA card to have it cleared by Christmas, may not manage this but I will give it a good go. Have an unexpected 30.00 off my dad, he had a successful day at the races yesterday and gave me and my bro 30.00 each - he used to do this when we were kids (although it would be £1) and he has carried it on - its a shame he doesnt have good days at the races more often!

In work next week and kids on half term so may be able to have some early starts in work to build up some flexi for days off.

OH in a good mood because Liverpool won so he has gone to work all cheery, I am a blue so have not been joining in his good mood!

    Hope everyone is well x x x

  • Great news Cap One has gone and Im sure if not completely gone then MBNA will be an fraction of what it is now.

Glad to hear kids ok at school. Im still in shock as DD2 is now average in everything. She was always behind so its lovely to hear she has worked hard enough to catch up.

Well done to your DD - she is in Year 2 as well isnt she? DD is top in spelling and reading but not doing as well in maths, although her teacher says she is better than she is letting on which sounds like her! She has been helping OH to count his float this week and she has no problems doing that - hopefully she will be good with money then! x

Good luck clearing the MBNA card you are doing really well.
Your dad is good to you..what a nice treat.
  • DS in year 2 DD2 in year 5  she is growing up so fast.

LOL the counting money I used to love counting my Dads change. I think it really helps their mental working on maths which the schools now focus on more.

Morning all, off to Blackpool in a min with the kids so just popping in to say hi. Being very MSE have packed a lunch for everyone and are taking the 2p's that we bought home last year for the 2p machines so hoping that apart from fuel and ice cream it should be a pretty low spend day out.

Not much more exciting to report at the minute - should be able to pay 250.00 off MBNA but want to wait until all the direct debits have come out on the 1st to make sure my maths isnt dodgy - I need to pay 110.00 a week to clear it by christmas so that will put me a week ahead.

Hope everyone is well - be back later! x x
