do you mean the card was GOLD? My £250 highline maestro from RBS is gold, not yellow.
And I have not seen any yellow cards on the RBS intranet except the one account one. Saw RBS highline were staying gold? Maybe they changed it though, who knows.
No it definitly wasn't the Highline Card as see them everyday. If RBS issue the paypal card with their logo on it and guarentee 100 cheque hologram on the back then it must have been that one, although im 100% it didn't say paypal on it.
Also the One Account card a customer has was definitly Visa Debit also but didnt work so RBS do use the Visa Debit system already, that card was valid 08/09 - 08/12 , her One Account Maestro expires at end of this month, she said she has just recieved the card. On reciepts different banks write payment type different. Halifax, Nationwide etc say VISA DEBIT in capitals, A&L write Visa Debit with just the v and d in capitals. The RBS i swiped said VISADEBIT on reciept, no spaces between the words and all in capitals.
Thats how bored I get a work that I notice these things ha ha!
Edit, card has shiny silver lettering on the card alsoSmoke free since 19/01/110 -

Well keep ya eyes peels for any more natwest or RBS visa debit cards ;-)
Ill speak to the department dealing with the change over tomoro and see if they have started sending them out yet.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Maestro is falling out of favour, due primarily to them making the 3d secure mandatory. Google checkout is the first to break, and state that they will no longer accept Maestro. Other processing companies are charging more, and the online retailers dislike 3d secure because it isn't stable, and rejects perfectly valid cards, resulting in lost transactions.
RBS and Natwest are not replacing any maestro cards, all customers will be issues with a visa debit card on expiry (or, if you request earlier).0 -
Existing customers with Maestro. Solo or Cirrus cards can continue to use there Cards as normal. Customers will receive their new Visa Debit cards on request or replacement or as their current card expires. As you can imagine they are not going to send out everyones card in the same month and it will be rolled out in phases up until the end of 2010.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

When you ask, can you find out if the NatWest First Reserve Account is going to keep a Debit card on it or if it is going to move to an ATM only card.
Cheers

I would say yes they will Savage the new t&cs say:
13.3.14 When we issue you with a replacement card, we may issue it under a different card scheme from the one which applies to your previous card (for example, we may replace avcard issued under the Maestro scheme with one issued under the Visa scheme). We will only do this if we reasonably believe that the facilities offered by a card issued under the new scheme will, on balance, be as good as, or better than, those offered by your previous card.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
When can you find out what the new Natwest card looks like?Smoke free since 19/01/110

I beleive some people who work for the bank have seen the design on their intranet and it is not as asthetic as some people may like, well that was the impression I got anyway.0
