Just took at look at the RBS Select card, I see it is for employees only. You would have thought they would have trusted their own staff with something other than an Electron card. This is the same as the PayPal (and new Co-op)Visa Debit card, it say Visa Debit card on it, but has a Visa Electron card BIN.

Its because its like a top up card savage lol

It got nothing to do with trusting you aint allowed to or permitted to go overdrawn with it.

There not gonna give ya full visa debit card that allows you to go overdrawn lol

I suppose, I just thought as they were giving it to their own staff they would at least give them one they could use everywhere that takes Visa, and not limit it. Many people like to use Tesco and M&S on-line which still will not accept the card.

After all if they do go overdrawn the bank knows where to find them, to the nearest inch probably.

It is 4544 same as the Paypal Visa Debit prepaid card, you can find it on Google with sites saying sorry we cannot take this over the phone or net as you need to be present with the card.

Sorry I have just realised what you mean, if you look very closely at the picture underneath you can just about make out what the first four digits will be, i.e. 4544. It is also not embossed and will say for electronic use only somewhere on the card.

I think they should have continued the photos on the back of RBS cards. Having a PIN doesn't give me alot of confidence against fraud, there should be a combination of other measures on the cards.

As for Visa Debit instead of Maestro...there was enough ads on tv when debit cars became Switch and then it all changed to Maestro with a bit less. Does it make any difference?

It appears that the service is no longer available however it used to be before chip and pin was introduced.

They would also scan you signature onto your card too.
