They have just confirmed that they are doing it and the decision was made before the merger with LTSB, however, they are getting so much business due to the Ryanair no card surcharge that it could be years away as this makes the service very popular.

do you mean the card was GOLD? My £250 highline maestro from RBS is gold, not yellow.

And I have not seen any yellow cards on the RBS intranet except the one account one. Saw RBS highline were staying gold? Maybe they changed it though, who knows.

i'm amazed there has been zero publicity about this change to visa debit, yes it has not actually happened yet and in the grand scheme of things its not that important but you would have thought there would have been a splash on the rbs/natwest website with a link to the changes and when we can expect to get our new cards and what the 'better' changes would mean for a solo cardholder for example.

for those who can be bothered reading the updated terms and conditions it is mentioned on there.

anyway i'm a natwest customer so i can expect a PURPLE card?

Well its never really been a big secret this change over. So personally i dont understand why there being so unhelpful regarding the matter within branches or telephone banking. I think that would throw there "helpful banking" out the water as they have been far from it lol.

Im sure when the transition does actually start they will update this part of the website so youll get to see what the cards look like etc:

    http://www.natwest.com/personal/current-accounts/g4/cards/yourcard.ashx

Do RBS still allow customers to have there photos on the back of there cards?

No. They were effectively made redundant with the advent of chip and pin.

I didn't realise the cards had started to be issued yet. It's possible it could have been one of the pre-paid cards that staff have shopping vouchers paid onto.
