hi all I had a male trout yesterday who told me he considers my use of internet unlimited print coupons 'fraud' as I dont buy the product - we had a chat about the fact that it is his stores policy to take the coupons on those terms - friendly but guarded - he asked where I get them from and admitted to using the couponet ones himself. It is unsettling to be challenged - but Moyilla - your confrontation was very unacceptable and I would take the employees name and s/w mgr on his return and ask for her to be enlightened.

    Hi everyone,

Hope you are all well? I won't make beat about the bush I have just had my worst experience yet in Mr T's.

I spent 40 minutes defending myself at the tills. The SA queried the Lidl coupon - I don not have a problem with the SA doing this as I can take it up with the supervisor etc etc.

Because today was a Bank Holiday they only had skeleton staff  Not 1 person in management/supervisor etc who knew me. Instead I got a supervisor who said I was using photocopies (the Domestos coupons) and that I had to buy the items. It just escalated and got out of hand. I have never felt so alone but I defended myself. I kept clam stuck to the facts showed my personalised email, the policy that the store sent me - which she said didn't exist even though it was signed by checkout supervisor AND SHE ACCUSED ME OF SIGNING IT  - told her I shopped there most days etc I have used the Lidl all week as it is a conditional spend but nope she refused them.

There were 3 customers behind me all watching, listening and laughing.

I feel so poop to be honest. I think it is now worse knowing that I am doing everything right but staff are saying I'm wrong and I am as good as stealing from them.

She took my name and kept my coupons seperate from the rest of the till to be checked by the cash office. I told her to ask for the DM as he knows me personally (he is on holiday, boy I wish he wasn't)

Is it really worth it guys? I'm not very good in situations like this, I get very embarrassed, tongue tied etc, I thought I was over the worst of this but I think the worst is yet to come.

Lots of hugs to you moyilla.

I cannot believe the rudenes of some staff. Keep your chin up and don't give in to the idiots.

Good luck today and let us know how you get on.

  • Mrs T yes you can print out as many as u like but the cafe direct one is huge and the date is a short one .The cow and gate also has a short date so work out how many u need before printing out loads. U can only go on the site 3 times. I share with my Dad so he gets the left overs

Perseverance I'm afraid! The 50p was working fine earlier this morning but haven't been able to get the £1 for a couple of days  Just keep trying but if you do get through make sure you print enough for the coming week (Both seem to be giving 7 days expiry now - The 50p was giving 14 days but it changed) and leave some for the rest of us :D

I have found that Firefox 'Usually' prints the moc about the size of a standard couponnet type but others have reported very small (Which I did get the last time I printed the £1) and very large (ie A4 size ) but I assume they are using IE but nobody seems to clarify which browser/version is giving the problem.
