At my local Mr T's I have noticed a lot of discarded till receipts left in trollies and on the floor. :D So far this week I have tidied up one for 210 points, 1 till spit for 18 bottles of Stella or Strongbow for £5.00 with coupon and this morning 1 for 74 points.

hi all new to this as of last thursday

been using the magazine ones as i have a nice big mr t locally

the one tho will only allow u 50% discount of your shopping with vouchers

the other one will allow the full 100% but today was told that the magazine ones are 1 per manufacturer and not one per magazine any others had this problem.

mrs unhappy team leader was like well if these keep coming through then ull bankrupt the magazine company as u are only meant to have 1 copy of each not multiple.
what annoyed me was i spoke with the store manager yesterday and shee said all my vouchers were ok except the photographer ones as they are the same but today 5 coupens are supposedly the same.
store manager also said they didnt mind if u went twice a day as long as they are in colour and not copies its ok which i was suprised at.

Be carefull doing this. If the store or clubcard finds you doing this it could lead to a ban. One chap in our store used to bring loads of till receipts in to have points added, he was caught going through one of the bins at a self service till, he ended up having his clubcard cancelled and being banned from the store - sounds extreme, but if everyone did it.....

Rubbish, my old cow and gate £1 coupons have expired and I don't seem to be able to get a new one - even on my work computer which I have never used before - it still says download limit reached.

Anyone else managed to get one today?

Exactly the same thing has happened to me today on my work PC. Pants.

    I don't think it's rubbish, it sucks or it's pants...:confused::confused:
It's only the one coupon and every coupon we get is a bonus.
Every one that is accepted in Tescos without buying the product is more of a bonus.

As long as we ensure the company stocks the actual products, and go by the guidance in the first few posts, we can carry on saving money for the foreseeable future.

As long as folk continue to look at short-term gain and try to save a few pennies while they can, by any means, and pay no respect to the guidance in the thread above, then there will be many more stores tightening up on their policies.

The magazine coupons were discussed in detail, the pedigree ones have been mentioned a number of times, yet folk are happy to carry on using them until problems occur, then they wonder why their store is exempted from the national policy:confused:

When THAT happens, I would say it's rubbish, it sucks or it's pants.....;)

edit: but the cow and gate 50p is printing again, now with a date of 8/9/09...so still 7 days :)
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

  • The pedigree smart coupons allows you to print x2. Is it a no-no to use both sets? Sorry if this is a numpty question, but the value is over £7 so don't want to waste them, but don't want to get it wrong either!
    Thanks.

    Hi VC
I agree with all you say (as you know, I hang on to your every word!).
The thread moves along very quickly and sometimes its difficult to retain all the appropriate information!
I still maintain its pretty pants to get the on-screen message "it looks as though you have reached the maximum limit for downloading this coupon" when you haven't in fact managed to download any!

Just to add, I've highlighted on here that the Cif and Heinz .pdfs aren't supposed to be used more than once (as per terms of mumsplusone), but nobody wants to know and the front pages remain unchanged. We don't know for sure that the companies will reimburse Tesco for these over-used .pdf MOCs and my view is that to continue using them over and over again is putting the generous T policy in jeopardy.

Simple rule of thumb...if it has a PIN number on it...it is designed to be used only once...
The manufacturer is unlikely to redeem the store for a duplicate copy.

What do you think your store manager will do, if he gets a pile of worthless bits of paper in his till, while stock goes out the door:confused:

It's certainly not a numpty question because there seems to be a lot of people who are trying to spend duplicate of these, even without checking if the company stocks the specific product before using the first one:mad:

I think they have just stuck up their generic sign, so the wording isn't great.....the £1 one is not printing for ANYone at the moment by the looks of things.
Probably the quota has already been allocated....and that is without all the multiples that people have been printing off.

There will only be so much in the marketing pot for redeeming these, so they have presumably put a hold on it.
If it was permanent, they would probably take the link down;)

Do you think we are in danger of getting a bit greedy and or short sighted, VC? I certainly do - as far as I am concerned if we can all save some money and play straight by the T rules then everyone is a winner. Is there a saying something like not biting the hand etc......
