What a difference a store makes! My local Tesco Extra made a big thing of not taking a Lidl voucher last week  – eventually gave me a money card when I showed them a letter I had received a while ago stating Tesco did accept them. . Since then I have shopped at Sainsburys and my local Co-op (who, incidentally will take Luncheon Vouchers off your shop).
Today, I called in at another Tesco Extra – not far away and they were soooooooooo nice. I asked at Customer Services before I did my shop, if I could use my Lidl voucher (finishes today). The SA didn’t think so but said she would check (how helpful and friendly). The Customer Services Supervisor came over and said “oh yes, it won’t scan but put it through as a non-scan”. I wanted to double-up my CC points as well and asked if I could use them with the Lidl voucher. Again, I was told I could as long as I met the conditional spend - £30. Slight delay at check-out as young SA wasn’t sure what to do, but Checkout Supervisor came over and told him what to input. I also used my pikapak 990 barcode coupons with no probs.:j
They were all sooooooo nice, friendly and helpful and … they smiled!!!! (I want to invite them all round for Christmas dinner and send them birthday cards and adopt them and, and :lovethoug……… Ahem, sorry about that, got a little carried away).:o
Anyway THANK YOU TESCO, you do have some extremely pleasant and helpful staff, it’s just a shame about the ones who are getting the bad press on here.0 -

If you are going to use a bar code generator, don't replace the one on the face of the coupon as that is considered de-facing (altering) the coupon and the store won't get reimbursed for it, instead print it on the back of the coupon.Murphy knows me too well and sticks to me like glue!0 -

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well? I won't make beat about the bush I have just had my worst experience yet in Mr T's.
I spent 40 minutes defending myself at the tills. The SA queried the Lidl coupon - I don not have a problem with the SA doing this as I can take it up with the supervisor etc etc.
Because today was a Bank Holiday they only had skeleton staff  Not 1 person in management/supervisor etc who knew me. Instead I got a supervisor who said I was using photocopies (the Domestos coupons) and that I had to buy the items. It just escalated and got out of hand. I have never felt so alone but I defended myself. I kept clam stuck to the facts showed my personalised email, the policy that the store sent me - which she said didn't exist even though it was signed by checkout supervisor AND SHE ACCUSED ME OF SIGNING IT  - told her I shopped there most days etc I have used the Lidl all week as it is a conditional spend but nope she refused them.
There were 3 customers behind me all watching, listening and laughing.
I feel so poop to be honest. I think it is now worse knowing that I am doing everything right but staff are saying I'm wrong and I am as good as stealing from them.
She took my name and kept my coupons seperate from the rest of the till to be checked by the cash office. I told her to ask for the DM as he knows me personally (he is on holiday, boy I wish he wasn't)
Is it really worth it guys? I'm not very good in situations like this, I get very embarrassed, tongue tied etc, I thought I was over the worst of this but I think the worst is yet to come.0
