Woohoo, ds got the male teacher I wanted for next year :j :j They have shuffled the staff around again and both classes in yr 3 have got male teachers, but ds is really chuffed to have got the one he has as he is the popular one with the kids :D I got his report today too and am really pleased with it, theres not as much detail as last years, but as its the end of yr 2 you do get given their national curriculum levels, and ds got:

    English: Reading 2A
    Writing 2C
    Speaking/Listening 2

    Maths: 2A
    Science: 2

I'm really pleased with these, especially the writing as I honestly expected it to be working towards level 1, so this means he now falls within the expected range for his age group :j :j

    Hi benbenandme

As you will see from my post count I'm more of a reader rather than a writer and as such I have to say how much I'm enjoying your diary.

Anyway now your Mortgage Pot has passed the magical £5000 point and with things as they are, I wondered if you had considered (or may well already have) a Lloyds Vantage A/C which pays 4% interest monthly on balances between £5000 and £7000. It would add a little extra to the Pot for free.

Best wishes for the future and for what it's worth I'm sure you'll make your dreams come true.

    RCP x

Thankyou RCP, I will look into that one, most of it though isn't in one account, its all accounted for in my spreadsheet but because I use a chunk of it for matched betting it is spread over various accounts.

Welcome and keep posting too by the way :D

Presentation went well today, am glad its out the way now really :) Luckily its another weekend already, this week has gone pretty quick. Tonight I need to catch up with housework and sleep, tomorrow we're seeing Togz (what time Tigz??) and sunday we're going to mums for dinner. Other than that theres not much planned in yet :D

Todays spends = £20 cheque for school dinners and £1.10 on lunch.

Foodwise I've not been good again today, tomorrow is weigh-in and then I will be good again ;)

I'm so lucky, I have a son who loves dusting and hoovering :j Not only that, he's done his homework already too :T The dusting will need doing properly once he's asleep, but at least I've managed to get everywhere 99% tidy and its a bit cleaner than it was too :D

The ironing board is out too  so I a may be able to get all my houseworky jobs done tonight leaving the the weekend free for fun stuff :)

I ended up going to bed at about 9 last night, I was shattered, but luckily have woken up feeling fairly awake today :)

So today is weigh-in day and the scales are showing I've put on 2.5lbs  This actually isn't as bad as it sounds, last weeks loss of 2lbs was a false reading as I'd hardly eaten all week, so this was to be expected, and also I've not been counting points at all this week :o So, starting today, I need to start being good again, I've got 3 weeks left of term and that was the original target I set myself to get to 10 stone ;)

So the weight has evened itself out - that is good enough, absolutely!

Get back to tracking, and you will lose next week and I am sure that by the end of term you will be where you want to be.

The main thing is not to just go "s0d it, I'll just carry on eating" after a bad week - just draw a line underneath and move on, we are learning to manage these difficult times!!

Keep going, and have a good weekend x

We're home, we've had a gorgeous day with Tigz and her dd, we went to the local country park and all took our bikes, the kids were great on theirs even though they both had a minor scrape each :o We took a picnic, the kids played in the park area and generally we all had a lovely time :D Home now and feeling quite worn out, just stuck the oven on, will bung in some sausages and have hot dogs tonight.

The eating hasn't been great today, I had an ice cream earlier and have just had some choccy too :o Spendswise I have spent £1 on drinks, £8 on car park  and £2.60 on ice-creams. Well worth it though as it was a great day out :)

Pleased to see also that Germany thrashed Argentina, I have Germany in the sweepstake at school, and the prizes are £40 for the winner, £20 for the runner-up and £4 for 3rd place. With Germany through to the last 4 I reckon my chances are looking fairly good to be getting something :D
