I had a few days like that a couple of weeks ago - ate and ate and ate, and put on 2lbs.

But once I had been weighed, I drew a line underneath and got back on with tracking properly.....like you, I am determined not to go back *there* again.

Weeks like this will come along from time to time, but like overspending, we can nip them in the bud.

Keep going, you are doing just fine x

Not really, hopefully I will hear something that will put an end to one part of it over the next few weeks, but there are several other knock on effects that will be ongoing for a long time :o:o Once I get the end to the first part that will be a huge weight off my mind and at least then I can begin to make plans again based on whatever else may happen, but a lot of it is unknown at the moment and a lot of it is emotional stuff to deal with. The worst part of it is that none of it is anything to do with me but it all affects me and ds :( Sorry if none of that is making much sense still, at some part I hope I will be able to fill you in a bit more as to what its all about but at the moment I can't, sorry. Its wierd to see how much its affecting my eating though, at first I literally didn't eat for a few days and now I seem to have gone the other way and am eating anything and everything and all my sensible eating of the last few months seems to have gone right out of the window, totally proves how much of our eating/weight issues are psychological :(

MOrning, today is payday, I've been trying to decide whether to move money across to the mortgage pot this month as my maintenance will be lower than normal this month (by about £180),but have decided that for now I will continue as before, I'll put the money into the pot although at some point I may need to review it and take some money back from the pot :o

So, as usual, £200 moved across to the pot, as well as the extra bits from not paying gym membership, electricity savings etc, which has seen off June 2021 and it won't be long until May follows too, but I don't feel excited like normal as I know it may have to change :o

At least the pot is retrievable if you need it, whereas once you have paid it off your mortgage it is not possible to get it back if you find yourself short later in the month.

So, I think you have done the right thing - by it being in the mortgage pot, you will only be tempted to use it if absolutely necessary. If you left it in your current account, you might think that a shopping spree would be more beneficial :o

Another alright day today, ds didn't have a great day again at school though :o After school tonight we went out on our bikes for half an hour which ds loved. Just waiting for my dinner to cook (chicken kiev :o and roasted veg), I have been fairly good foodwise today though, or at least better than I have been recently ;)

£1.75 spent on bread rolls and milk tonight, some tidying up done and after dinner its bathtime then I need to do some more work on the presentation for friday. Tomorrow is ds report day and also we find out who his new teacher is going to be; in yr 3 there is a male teacher (really really hoping ds gets him as I think he needs a positive male influence in his life), and a female teacher who is pregnant and due in December, so won't be around for hardly any of the year :o For the last 2 years ds has been in the class that have had a job share, so am really hoping that this time he gets more stability and a male influence could be fab for him, keeping everything crossed :D

Hugs Benben - it's nice when they have a male teacher in primary, especially as most primary teachers are female. Having said that, my youngest has had a the most unapproachable male teacher this year.
