    Smartmart if you're reading can I have some honest feedback about Devon Cliffs please! I've been reading loads of reviews online and for every good one there are about 10 bad ones :o:o I'm seriously considering whether to even bother going tbh :o:o:o Most seem to say the same things; caravans are filthy, the place is overrun with rats, not enough staff and those that are there are utterly incompetent, lots of drunk rowdy teenagers, oh and the mod rifle practice at 6am .... :(:( I'm just worried cos mum and dad are coming with us and they're a bit more old-fashioned about holidays and I'll feel terrible if its awful :(

    I have been to devon cliffs several times it is a very busy commercialised site however i thoroughly enjoyed it, the beach is lovely and lots of places nearby to visit. I have never experienced any of the above you mention our caravan was lovely and clean it seemed to be more family orinated, i am going again 7 may for the weekend, dont worry about it

    Thankyou Pinklady, sorry didn't realise you'd been too :) I don't mind commercialised, we're only going for 4 days so a bit of bingo and some arcade machines are fine with me, as long as its clean :) I know when we went to Butlins it was the same kind of thing, lots of bad reviews but we found it fine. Last years site in Ladram Bay was lovely and very clean, it was an independent site and maybe next time I'd try and go back there although the 'entertainment' was somewhat lacking, in fact it consisted of us watching 'Britains Got Talent' every night instead :rotfl:

    Thankyou KC, have whizzed around and tidied and cleaned, thank God I've stayed on top of it all as it only took ten minutes :) I've swept the kitchen/bathroom floors but will clean them properly once ds is in bed otherwise he'll walk all through it when they're wet ;) I'm trying not to get too excited, as Tigz will tell you most people will be put off of mine by the steps to get into it, but hopefully once inside someone will be won over at some point :o But whatever, at least its a start :)

    I've also made some soup and had some for tea tonight and will take the rest to school for lunch tomorrow with a sugar-free jelly thats setting nicely in the fridge too :) I was planning on doing the ironing tonight but think I will leave it now as its away tidily in the cupboard anyway.

    The plan for the rest of the evening then is as follows;
    get ds off to bed fairly soon, have my bath, clean bath and floors, do one final sweep of the flat and make sure everything is done, then have another early night so (a) I'm not tempted to eat much (had a lovely lunch on the course today AND the cookie :)), (b) so I don't make a mess :D

    Thanks! The same guy priced the place last autumn, and offered 1% then, so I managed to get the same percentage. I've got one more hour of work tonight, then I'm collapsing - I'll be up at 6, to get ready for them at 9.30 :eek:

    Bye for now - I'll be back on tomorrow to see how it all goes - many, many positive vibes to us both :)

    Yep I got 1% from mine too KC, good luck with yours, mine is coming at lunchtime while I'm at work, so at least it will be done and dusted when I get home :)

    My helpful friend on the giol board who helps me with some offers has just made me £27 profit from an ongoing offer he's been helping me with, which should I think have nudged me up to double my monthly £10 target :j :j
