Benben I regularly get calls like that from hsbc and as the same as you, refuse to give out any info. It really seems to wind them up but what do they expect when they ring you and start asking for personal data? They could be anyone! With all you hear about identity theft, are they surprised? I have always assumed they were just trying to sell me something, because when I refuse to give data they just say it was just a "courtsey call" and leave it at that.

Thanks for the butternut squash recipe Benben - just made a double amount - so that's tea made for this evening as well as a few portions for the freezer. Tastes good as well.

Grrr to the bank - we have the same with M&S credit card - a payment we have been make for around £6 to the same company for the past 18 months or so. By the time they ring us, the computer has already declined the transaction and causes us problems.

But that would be defeatist.....so I have placed a qualifier with crappy odds, and even if I only make £1 or 2 on the whole thing, it will still be money I didn't have this morning.

    Must not give up!

Well done hypno, I've done my qualifier but not expecting to get anything/much from this one :o Never mind, I am now looking forward to a nice night on the sofa with a blanket, watching the footie and looking through the new next directory, maybe I'll treat myself to some new summer stuff once the weights off :D

Your laptop isn't a Toshiba is it BenBen ?
Mine went through 3 power cables before I read somewhere it was a glitch on the motherboard that caused it with those.

Well done you! I got £4 from it, which is not bad considering I plumped for the first bet I could physically do so that I could get out and ski :o I very nearly decided not to bother, but £4 is £4 for nothing, so I'm happy enough with that - it all adds up :D
