I think I may have been brainwashing ds a little too much ...

He's been wanting a dog for ages and I keep telling him we can't have one until we can get a house with a garden. So today he announced that rather than saving up his pocket money for Mario Kart for his ds, he's decided to save the money to help me pay extra on the mortgage so we can get a new house quicker   :T :T Bless him, he's only 6, has no idea what a mortgage even is, but hey, its good to start 'em young :rotfl:

That's really sweet BB. We have a garden but couldn't leave a dog alone all day so I always said if I won the lottery... on the last occasion I bought a ticket I nearly got a tenner and was all excited and DS thought this meant he was getting a dog! Yes, a tenner would do it:rolleyes:...

Just picked up a mystery shop for next saturday and I already have another one to do in the same town so that will help towards that days £10 challenge. No idea where the rest of it will be coming from for the rest of this month though :o:o

Just listed another item on ebay, 11 items on there now, nothing very exciting or likely to make much money, but if it sells that will be another 2 boxes of 'stuff' cleared out ;):D

Glad BB is hoping to help his mummy!!! :D

I think its important we teach our kids about money, TBH I learnt a lot after joining here but I am glad I good with money now because with all my recent stresses its helped me to feel like I have some control! My ex was always cruddy with money, am hoping any future partners will be more aware.

I should try and date a MSER :rotfl:

Ah that is so sweet of your DS; my DS2 is only 4 but talks about money and mortgages as if he is 40 :rotfl:People must think we brainwash him in not spending money but paying off the debts instead.

You should live near me - far too many rugby and football players (I'm just outside Leicester) including your favourite. Fortunately for them, I don't recognise them ;)
