Yup thanks to the snow I know have 4 hours to cram in 12 lessons worth of stuff for my yr 10s doing their science exam. Thats assuming we all get back to normal from next week. I'm in tomorrow again though, much like today.

It's just babysitting though because there aren't nearly enough kids in to actually do any work! Grr...

Twinklie: Thats the trouble isn't it, only half the kids are in and those that are there want to be at home with their mates playing in the snow. But I can also understand the parents points of view  :o

Pania: Let me know if you come down this way again would be good to meet up, bring Hypno with you too! I'm like Ladypink and generally just stick to buying stuff at car boots / charity shops to sell on. Sometimes I don't make anything on it but I rarely spend more than a pound or two on anything so it isn't ever going to be a big loss ;) I don't have the guts to buy in bulk evne though theres probably good money to be made :D

Ladypink: Most of the stuff I buy is intended for me, eg. I might buy a cardigan at a car boot sale and when I try it on at home decide I don't like it etc then may sell it on. However sometimes I'll buy something purely to resell, eg. I once bought a girls Monsoon cardigan from a charity shop which would be no use to me or ds so therefore that is a definite item thats just for resell. I know lots of people would just not worry about the taxman but it bugs me (I'm a coward :o) so I log stuff like that and how much I've paid for it / sold it for etc. I am registered as self-employed anyway because of the mystery shopping etc, so its not really a problem to add it in too. There have been several stories of people being caught on ebay by tax people who have gone through their selling history and they can see whether its likely to be your own stuff your selling or whether you've bought to resell iyswim ;):D

Morning! Ds had to go to school today, not a happy bunny  I'm hoping to get the flat straight again today, he got so many toys out yesterday it looks like a bombsite again :o

I'd love to see you all for a meet-up, let me know when you're all heading this way :j

I've decided ds is staying here this weekend, his dads not happy but I think its unfair to expect him to travel 80 odd miles in this weather just cos "its his weekend"

I need to order a new kettle today too, mine has started leaking water from the base so I can't use it anymore. I want a cream one to match other stuff in my kitchen but they're dead expensive (I normally just get a cheapie one from tescos), but I think I may treat myself with some of the money mum and dad gave me for christmas :D

Don't blame you for keeping him with you, not nice out there at all.

And yeah, make sure you treat yourself, although buying a kettle isn't traditionally a treat :rotfl: but I'm the same with stuff like that!

DD's school open today, but it's sooo cold out there I was tempted to keep her home but she wanted to go and I was more than pleased to send her as I get a day to myself :j

He would have to travel tonight (by train) and not arrive there until at least 8pm (assuming no delays anywhere). I think its too cold / icy to be out there at that time when its not necessary. Also with more snow forecast over the weekend I'm concerned about him getting back safely on sunday. Of course the ex from hell thinks I'm a completely neurotic over-protective mentally ill mother   ... and of course he's a perfect devoted father   :rotfl::rotfl:
