    I started yet another healthy eating plan yesterday :rolleyes: :o and so ds will benefit from it too, by way of tonnes more fruit and veg in the house. Tbh he loves veg, fruit is a bit of a battle although he's eating more grapes and apples recently, but he's not fussed about sweets and chocolate, so on the whole isn't too bad, although I may get him on the scales tomorrow just to compare where he's at :D

    Evening :D Hoping for a bit more snow tonight although tbh I doubt we'll get any ...

    Today has been uneventful, spent 70p on a drink at work, since starting my healthy eating plan a couple of days ago I've had a splitting headache for the last two days, I'm hoping its a good sign as i haven't had any coffee and only one choccy bar which is a huge difference from what I have been having :o

    Just had a really yummy dinner of pasta, peppers, muchrooms, onions and a little bit of bacon (all fat cut off of course ;)). Just off for a warm bath now and then hoping for an early night tonight.

    Hi Benben, I was just wondering how you are all doing? How are your parents and your grandad coping? (Sorry if I am being too personal/nosy). Thinking of you,

    Yes probably is the caffeine withdrawal. I still remember the headaches when I gave it up a few years ago and the buzz I got when I started drinking coffee again ;)

    I'm meant to be giving it up again but clearly I am very addcited to the stuff so well done on managing it!

    The scary thing is that I only drink decaff coffee, so really not too sure why I'm feeling the headaches so bad, I probably have about 3 coffees a day and maybe one a week that is caffeineated, choc does have caffeine so maybe its that too, or maybe my system is just in shock from fresh fruit and veg all of a sudden :rotfl:

    Bear in mind if eating more healthily also means you're eating less processed foods your body will probably be feeling the effect of less additives etc. If it is somthing like that the headache should last a few days at most.....remember to drink plenty of water too, that should help.

    Yep, haven't had much processed stuff for the last 3 days, today I've had;

    breakfast: scrambled eggs on toast
    snack: grapes
    lunch: 3 x philadephia on crackers, peppers, cucumber and a banana
    snack: frys chocolate cream (my treat ;))
    tea: pasta, mushrooms, peppers, onions, bacon
    drinks: apple juice, 3 pints of squash (no added sugar)

    So I reckon it probably is my body freaking out, going "Wheres the junk???!!!!" :eek: :eek: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Diet sounds good BB- just a thought and i don't wish to be alarmist in any way.

    But i was watching This Morning and there was an item about carbon monoxide and gas fires. One of the signs is a headache, and it is worth checking out if you do have a gas fire/boiler..if you don't then it is irrelevant.
    But i am investing in a carbon monoxide tester and fire and boiler is due for a service this month.
