This all came about by his refusal to admit to being a senior manager (marketing).
It doesn't matter how many reps post, but all this evasion justs raises more questions.

I didn't refuse to admit anything, I'm just trying to keep this business-like and in line with MSE's expectation of what this type of account is for.
Yes, I personally am a Senior Manager at Mobiles.co.uk. This account however will be used by different people over time and I don't want anyone assuming that things said in future come from a Senior Manager, or that the person responding has the power to change everything instantly. Confirming my job title just creates problems so I didn't do it - no evasion is involved.

But you said earler .................This account is used by various staff members to try and resolve problems. As most of us aren't customer-facing, and to keep the correct contact procedures in place we'd prefer to not identify ourselves individually.As such, and because I don't think it really matters (unless you can explain why it might?) the account is simply "Company Representative" and what my name is doesn't really make any difference.
No disrespect to "cleaners", but as an example, if I phone my Bank to talk about my account I don't expect to be talking to one of the cleaners :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
All this secrecy with smoke and mirrors is not doing this situation any good whatsoeverSilk, phone received, cancellation underway, someone will be in touch very shortly with an apology and compensation.It's not just about the money0 -

No, Guy is much more objective and fair minded than you seem to be, so no confusion. ( But it might be one of my team that has written this and not me and I might be using evasion tactics, have you considered that? )

Upset at your insinuation I was lying, I gave you chapter and verse and reproduced your claim to be a "senior manager". Your response was not to apologise for the slur, but to go and try and remove the "evidence" and edit out senior manager! Then you today came up with the excuse you had "forgotten" you had told us this, but still after all this it seems you are now saying you always were open about all this!0 -

As everything I say or any explanation I give is turned by you into an effort to make me out to be a liar and a cheat I don't feel it's productive to continue this discussion.
I'm perfectly happy that I've replied to all of your points either here or on other threads, and yet you still manage to turn my apology and explanation into a sinister conspiracy to... I'm not actually sure what; pretend to not be a Senior Manager?

Silk - on MSE you are speaking to Mobiles.co.uk. Whomever is replying is doing so on behalf of the company, their presence here (whether they're a cleaner or the MD) is approved and what they say represents the company's position. This is how MSE wants it and they are our hosts, so I keep it impersonal.
