Congratulations K9. Sadly my running schedule has taken a major knock already. I had cramp in my calf and it's not recovered properly and the pain has now spread down and into my foot. Physio here I come. Joy...0

A huge congrats K9 and well done!
Thanks for the encouragement AMO and others, I would say thanks but my button has vanished?!
Off on hols but back in Sept - hopefully well rested and motivated. Had to see GP about my dodgy chest and as I thought I may have had an asthma attack and I am still badly wheezy from last week. A few weeks of puffer and sun and I will be back with youThe smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
How is everyone doing? It is very quiet here?
It has all gone horribly wrong here at ours. I ate far too many ice creams and put on half a stone in a week - it was a lovely week and I loved it but feel v v guilty now! And when we got back on Saturday I had a nasty fall in the kitchen (while sober, how stupid!) and I have twisted my ankle and have a huge cut on my arm and have pulled something somewhere in my tummy and can barely move.
My 10km is in 3 weeks. I am so unfit I feel right back at square one.....any tips on how to learn to run a 10km in 3 weeks?!The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
I'm injuired! Pull a ligament in my foot in the shower after an 8km run!! doh.. they said I need to rest 4-6 weeks.. no chance as my run is in 2 weeks!! I've sat on my bum the last 4 days.. and will cycle as that's low impact and run as least as possible until my run!
I'm hoping I can still nail the run in under 1 hour.. not so sure now! :SOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

Good luck to everyone recovering from injury. I made mine far worse. I couldn't walk without a lot of pain in my calf but found I could run quite easily. This was apparently a big mistake as I've apparently torn the calf muscle. It was feeling better today so thought I'd go for a short walk at lunch time, another big mistake. I felt the muscle tear again. Oh well, I've got another physio appointment tomorrow.0

Got mine too - it is sweet isn't it?
How are all the injured? My leg and side feel much better so we may do 1 mile on Sunday to try and get motivated again. I just bought a new running belt so I must get back at it!
Hope everyone is well soon. The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -

So how did you do K9? Did you give it a go?
We did our first proper run today in many weeks - managed 4km in 30 minutes but we were v tired; I imagine with 5 minutes more walking I oculd have done another 4km..at least I hope so as our 10km is next weekend. I have a feeling I may end up walking more than running. But back on track next week - I have promised myself! The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0
