Personally, I'd stay at another hotel. I wouldn't give this one any of your money, ever. There are literally thousands of hotels in and around Brighton.

    A) Yes you sound like a difficult customer but that is only basing it on what I am reading here so you may not be :)
    B) They should never be passing comments around like that to anyone - nor be making them. If necessary then they could alert the staff to be "extra vigilant as the customer has already had an upsetting experience". There is no need to send a mail toned the way that was...
    C) I'd be rightly extreemly angry too - I wouldn't even bother with service managers, I'd be asking for the customer service director... But that's me :)
    D) I'd only be staying there again if it was a) free b) upgraded to ultra luxury c) loads of complimentary things.

I have stayed in Ramada Hotels a four times whilst away on business.

From experience, my own personal opinion is that they are:
    Tatty
    Over-priced
    Staffed by buffoons

On a side note, you may well be a 'nightmare customer' with a 'challenging family'. Until however, they refuse to accept your booking, you should be treated with the same respect you give and no more.

    Cheers for the comments.
I did eventually get to speak to the Customer Service Director and the result is...
    The room is FREE
Breakfast and DINNER(including DRINKS) are FREE
Parking at the hotel is FREE!!!

  • My boyfriend and i had booked with them for Valentines day, we had booked weeks in advance for a double room, was all paid for etc, got there to find that they had pushed two single beds together, being so angry my boyfriend went down to reception and asked why this was and the woman told him that they were fully booked, so we went back upto the room raging and left it at that. In the middle of the night i fell down the middle of the two beds and hurt myself, as you can imagine i was not amused! So i emailed their head office telling them their customer service was shocking and that i was really disappointed because we stay there rather frequently. The general manager of the glasgow airport one and said to book through him if we wanted to stay again, he sorted out another date for us free of charge, like you there was on my emails with him the emails he had been exchanging with his staff. Thankfully there was no !!!!!ing on my emails lol. "all about customer passion!" yea right... honestly take it as far as you can. Thats totally unacceptable.

Get to the car park early- it'd not very big, and if you have a big car, choose your spot carefully else you could find yourselves blocked in when you try to leave.

Stayed there earlier this year, was fine- nothing special but perfectly adequate. They do have nicer rooms with sea views so fingers crossed you get one of those! Good location too, short walk to shops/centre of town. Have a great stay and let us know how it goes.

Cheers for all your advice, good to hear that so many people support complaining when service is below par!
