Why don't people use capital letters in their name and adress?

Am I the only one who gets really, really, really irritated by this?
I have recently sold a few bits and pieces on eBay and I used the Paypal confirmation to copy and paste the address onto Word. But why do people not use capital letters in their name and address? Is it just lazyness? I have a website and it is rare that people do this and they use capital letters. But when it comes to eBay 9/10 people use lower case letters for their name and address.
It drives me up the wall having to go through each address change them all! If you write the address on an envelope or letter you would use capital letters so do it on eBay and Paypal too!!
PS. Does anyone know what keys you use on Vista to chage lower case into capital letters. It used to be Ctrl and 3 (I think, or F3) but the new laptop does not do this, I can only think that it is because I am now using Vista instead of XP.

Does it really matter? If it upsets you that much refund their money and refuse to sell to them.0 -
I detest it too.

I used to copy and paste the address direct, until I had somebody in LL1 type their address in lower case, and their item ended up in L11.
It's simply a lack of basic education at fault here, but I also think that eBay should be using a postcode lookup when people register.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

And the anal thing is I have to spend time correcting it. The fact I just have to do it really irritates me even more. :mad:0

Why? You only have to see from other boards that customers complain about the slighest thing. If you went into a shop and made a purchase and they complained you hadn't wrote your delivery detials in with captial letters wouldn't you just be a little bit put out? At the end of the day you should be grateful that the customer has brought from you and paid for the item and not cause the problems that all the other buyers cause if you go through this board.
Which customer would you prefer? The one who doesn't use captials but pays straight away. Or the customer who uses captials for their address and name but then keeps saying they will pay but never does?
If its a strange suggestion to say that there is a lot worse things buyers do than not use captials then I apologise.0 -
By suggestion I was referring to your statement that we should "refund their money and refuse to sell to them".
I still think that it is an odd suggestion to suggest a course of action that will almost certainly result in a neg and non performing seller complaint.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
