    Look again then.

£5 each way is possible on Chiltern.

Of course that depends on date and time of travel.

Thanks, travelling on Friday for the Gadget show and it seems like the International station is the stop for NEC. Cheapest reasonable from Chiltern is 16.50 (leaving at 6am and coming back at 8). Is that the recommended route from London, or would it be cheaper to get to New Street then take a bus to the NEC?

Bought my tickets to New Street for £11 arriving at 9.40. I've looked at the anytime return from new street to internation and it costs 4.10 online. I was just wondering if it'll be the same on the day?

Hi there - any ideas for Bicester North to Liverpool Lime Street please? Travelling Sunday 17th April /return Monday 18th April. Best I can find is £96.20 for 2 adults, which doesn't seem too bad, but you never know.

    Thanks
    How about...
Super Off Peak Return from Bicester North to Birmingham Moor Street at £34.00 for two adults.
Valid on all trains on Sunday and any train after 11am for the return leg on Monday.
Short walk (10mins) to Birmingham New Street.
Advance Singles Birmingham NS to Liverpool Lime Street = £31.00 for two adults. Only four departures though... 10:20, 11:20, 12:20 and 20:20.
There are many Advance Singles from Liverpool to Birmingham at £9 each on Monday.

So trip can be done for £83.00. return for two adults.

    Info from LondonMidland Trains website.

No underground trains ever run to Gatwick.
Look on the National Rail Enquiries for details of any works between London Bridge and Gatwick on that day.
P.s. I've just looked, there is no planned disruption on that day.

The TfL website tells us that there will be a normal service on the Northern Line between Kings Cross and London Bridge on that day.
thanks very much we're all booked up now:beer:

Try splitting at Inverness, ie Off Peak Return Aviemore to Inverness then get some Advance singles Inverness to Aberdeen and Aberdeen to Inverness, should save you a few quid.

On you outward trip just make sure you arrive in Inverness in good time to catch your train to Aberdeen.

London Midland have a sale on, beware though that the fares may be hiked up. I normally get seperate tickets to Liverpool from Northampton by buying a ticket to Stafford for £12 return normally but its £10.75 in their "so called" 50% sale.

    Hi

A group of 8 of us are travelling from Northampton to Liverpool on 24th June and returning on 26th June. Any tips on how to get the price down. I can get us there for £9.00 but to come back we're looking at £50 unless we get a really late train which isn't really an option. Thanks in advance.

Yes, that is almost the best deal. ;)

Save a few more pounds by exploiting Groupsave.

Groupsave allows four adults to travel for the price of two when using Off Peak Returns.

Off Peak Returns are more expensive at £30 each.
But eight adults travel for the price of four.
So eight adults travel for £120.

Reducing the return price for each person to £15.00.
Plus your choice of trains is wider than when using Super Off Peak tickets.
