That shouldn't be possible. Did you put a ticket in your basket? If so, it may have been the last one at that price tier.

Ah, as miller and I suspected, you must have got the last tickets at that price point in your basket, so once you started looking at other sites they were always going to show a more expensive price (the next tier up)! It's nothing to do with a particular site being cheaper!0

Not in the basket until checked elsewhere. Though I did book PDQ once other sites showed a higher price.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0 -
There must be some explanation; tickets are not cheaper on thetrainline. What are the details of the journey?0

I got charged a booking fee with red spotted hanky and when tickets arrived they was issued by thetrainline.com do thetrainline.com now own red spotted hanky or do they just issued the tickets on there behalf because red spoted hanky never used to charge a booking fee I only use them because they accept Tesco clubcard vouchers so free trip
Also is a bank holiday classified a off peak all day0 -
RSH have charged a fee for a year or so now. Like you I used them with Tesco vouchers but since Tesco have become far less generous in the vouchers they issue it's no longer of much use.
Some of the TOCs use thetrainline as well - but don't charge you the fee. Not sure of the ownership position of RSH
Bank holidays should be off peak (sometimes superoffpeak) all day - though that's a railway day, not a calendar day starting at either 0230 or 0430. I can't think of exceptions0
