morning everyone
having a lazy day as far as cooking goes. Have meat in slow cooker for tomorrows dinner but today we are using up leftovers. Seem to have a few bits and bobs in fridge. So dinner tonight will be "mix and match".
Have a good day everyoneIt takes a long time to eat an elephant and I'm doing it a bite at a time!!!0 -

I asked my DS to get me some bread and milk on his way back from work yesterday. He is obviously learning as he brought me two loaves of bread at reduced price of 49p each!!!!
He didnt ask me for the money back either, so thats even more MSE!!!!
Does that then class as a no spends day????When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Just popping on to say I've spent £85.56/£150 so far this month
On the plus side I seem to have been stocking up for some kind of invasion for some bizzare reason as if I am stopping myself going to the shops again for a while!
Went to farm shop and spent £29.58 on some great meat that should keep me going for the month. The rest spent in the supermarkets.
Should be ok for the next 26 days as I have plenty in and do not need to go another big shop. Just need to stick to it now!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Having overspent rather badly last month I am giving myself a much reduced budget for August. I won't need to buy anything for the first week and then I'll have £5 weekly for milk and fruit/veg - I still have frozen and tinned veg and fruit in stock so should be ok.
Welcome to the newbies :hello: and good luck all!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I'd love to join this challenge. I live on my own, and have a weekly shop delivered on Mondays, which is usually about £50. Can I therefore have a monthly budget of £240?
I know that's quite high, but it's my first month, so am shaving off £10 and trying to see how I do.
Thanks in advance, am hugely lookingforward to being part of this0 -
I should probably start this up again...can you put me down for £50 please. That's for one human and one rabbit if anyone's interestedAugust grocery challenge: £50

Hi, I'm back in again this month (if I may) I have a family of 5 children(one seems to have flown back home
after a spell at his dad's), 5 cats (one of which is pregnant) 1 puppy and me
. Will be trying to stick to a budget of £80 per week  for everything that is needed to keep this sometimes chaotic house running . I will try to sort through the freezers, cupboards and fridge over the weekend and come up with some sort of mealplan. x
