    Hello people,

well since its august tomorrow, and i get paid weekly, I think now is as good a time to start as any.....My aim for this month is

    £300

My first month so I am quoting what I actually put aside each month for food. " grown up and one child with allergies (although we cook from scratch so his allergies make no difference to the cost!)

I am budgeting £10 per day, £310 for the month. I have placed the weekly F&V order for August, £88 committed, £222 for everything else. This is for all food, drink, toiletries, medicines, alcohol, take aways, cleaning materials etc for 2 adults, DS 4years & DD 4 months.

    Good luck everyone.

I pledge to keep track of my spending & keep upto date with this thread.

    Hiya guys,

Real busy day but did manage to go shopping, spent over £30.00 but not added it up yet. Managed to get some of the mr t curry sauce for 4p and some of the sweet& sour sauce for 28p, I think:D .

Stocked the store cupboards up and did some bulk cooking, put in the freezer, 8 HM meals ready now. Froze down left over peppers and will freeze the mushrooms tomorrow.

Going to look up the 1st pages for broccolli soup, got the BOGOF Broccolli:T and some cauli so need to know how to stretch it out.

Hope everyone is on track for aug GC, I really want to come in under budget, so good luck all

    Hello everyone,

Another month, and all of it school holidays! Mrs M, please put me down for £400 for August please. That will have to cover a camping holiday (never know whether to include the meals out or not!) plus visitors at the end of August.

Good luck to everyone. Hoping to do better in August than I did in July!:rotfl:

Although we've not been paid for the last week at work (shadowing), they did provide lunch every day - I've not cooked a single meal this week, as I tried to eat as much as I could at lunch time! Everything I brought last weekend is now in the freezer and hopefully will mean a NSW this week!
