its nearly 2am!!!!!! Get to bed Nicola!!!! anyway....sold some more stuff on ebay and have transferred another tenner to my account, think thats about £30 in a month, not bad for my old tat!
Just wrote myself out a DMP, cos my printer wont work grrrr...im doing it in balance order, still makes my DFD at March 2011 so thats good. Ive just stuck it on the back of my kitchen cupboard so will see it most days and cross it off as i go.
6 sleeps til our holiday and i have my spending money saved so when my wages come on Thursday i dont have to rely on them, can put the money straight into my bills account, which i do every month.
Nothing on ebay at the mo, but will be listing when we come back from butlins.0 -
just found this! forgot all about it!
A few things have happened money-wise, ive managed to get my debt free date from Aug 2011 down to Nov 2010!!! im so excited for this year, and already looking forward to being debt free next year.
Ebay made me about £60 which i stuck in a sealed tin, along with £2 and 20p coins, counted that up the other night and i have £135 so thats spending money for my girly weekend in March:A, food money is already sorted, we were saving £2 a week, not much but its added up to £84!!
Not wrote on here since we went to Butlins last year, managed to only spend what i took, the kids kept the same light-up toy to take out every night...lol but they didnt mind, we enjoyed it so much that we took advantage of a big discount and booked again for this year, that will be August, so cant wait!
Ive been doing my online shopping evey other week and spending around £50-£65 for 3 of us as well as going to the market for the meat (about £10-£15).
Ive done a SOA but theres no point me sharing it as im managing to make overpayments, plus ive changed internet surpplier, had gas DD reduced, gone onto PAYG, that kind of thing:T
Im using the snowball calculator to make my overpayments and keep me on track and i check it often.
Im loving this year already!!! hope you are all well?0 -

Keep it up

Right…ive got a plan, I get paid several times a month from various tax credits etc. so this is what I’ll do with those payments
Wages approx £389 - straight into bills account as they always have
I get 2 housing benefit payments of £186 a month, 1 will go straight on the credit card and the other will go in my budget draws which cover clothes, emergency fund, haircuts, holiday, entertainment and presents.
I get child maintenance of £180 for DS and that will go straight on child care fees as it always has.
I get another £20 Child maintenance, Child benefit and am waiting to hear about council tax benefit, those will go on things like if I run out of clothes money (like if I need school uniform etc.).
I also get tax credits every Tuesday, that will pay rent (£85) then whats left over (about £95 will be shopping money and change for papers/rainbows/bus fair if I need it and anything else that might come up.
Obviously what I don’t spend will be saved or thrown on the debts, the past few months I have been doing things like using a bit from a couple of my incomings to go towards outgoings, but this way I know what each incoming is going to pay. These will probably stay the same til at least September when my DS goes to full time school and I wont have child care to pay for !
I hope all that makes sense and makes good money managing sense?

oooh just won £24 on take a break bingo in real cash with my bonus money, have withdrawn it and will be putting it straight on the credit card when it clears woo hoo!!!0
-
Just paid £100 off my credit card, to be up to date with my snowball i need to pay an extra £90, £32 of which will be a DD i'll pay the extra with my bingo wins and one of my incomings from next month0

phew, nearly bought a chinese for tea but decided i had enough food in so putting the tenner towards my holidy spends (8 weeks to go!)0

ive just joined the weekly spend challenge, ive put in for £20, this will include papers, dinner at work, which i will try not to have, gonna do my best to make something and take it with me. Actually i doubt i'll spend anywhere near £20 because i have a lot of things budgeted for so hopefully i'll come in well under budget. Got an account charge to pay next Monday so will have to think about having to pay that.
Ive spent all day watch spendaholics and bank of mum and dad on one of the sky channels, makes me realise i got my head around my debts before it was too late so it always makes me feel better to watch these programmes, on another note, spent most of the day yesterday watching escape to the country where people have budgets of like £700K for a house! i can only dream!0 -
So decided to give myself £20 for my spends for the week, ended up buying dinner from work and then rubbish when i finished, spent £5.57 in one day on nothing!0
