  • mussels can be extremely cheap actually from fishmonger or even fish section of supermarket sometimes a quid or so on offer- they are only expensive in restaurants because restauranteurs put a huuuuge mark up on them

    Noooo.....don't tell everyone that mussels are good value as a treat! It'll be like lamb shank, used to be cheap until they became trendy!

    I really don't like mussels but I might make that recipe with something else in it...

    I got a KG of fresh mussels last night for a quid...:D reduced from £4...i dont like them myself but my son adores sea food.
