Got a gorgeous diamante side flower headband from Accessorize yesterday for £28. Very good quality and almost identical to one I nearly got for £50. No pic on website though to show you. It's very sparkly though :)

It is starting to get a little bit exciting now.
Invites have now been done, guest list has changed 3 times since starting them.
We gave our notice on Monday at the registry office
My lovely H2b booked a honeymoon, after previously deciding we couldn't go because there was nobody to look after the children
Dress has been decided on ( No.3 of 5 bought), and alterations are commencing on friday
Cake is coming along nicely - so i've been told by my wonderful SIL who's making it. (very excited about that one)
Things seem to be progressing in an upwardly direction at long last.
Hair, make up, accessories and transport are the next details to sort.
But i can at last feel a bit less stressed and a little more excited:D

9 weeks and counting for me

getting lots more of the little things out of the way

    - hairdressers is booked, as it my trial (and i have an idea of what style i want)
    - makeup etc is booked for me, my sister, my mum and my mil to be
    - wedding list all put together (and some bits have already been bought lol)
    - getting some of the replies back from the wedding invites (still have to get OH to give me the names of his work colleagues he wants to invite!!)
    - bought a little jacket to go with my dress while not identitical in colour it's a good enough match.
    - found a local lady to do my dress alternations, i've used her before and she's brill, i'm glad she said yes

    still to do
    - get my underwear (which is going to be the biggest nightmare of all)
    - survive my hen do (which as it gets closer i really don't want to go on)
    - figure out the food menu
    - organise booze
    - have a chat with the florist
    - organise meeting with the priest
    - organise meeting with venue to run over details
    - tables plan (well can't be done till we get all our rsvps)
    - design and send out evening invites
    - make my flowergirls felt and button bouquet

i'm sure there's more i'm forgetting i've got brain fry at the moment.

In between all that i've got to renew my car insurance and get my car through MOT, both essentials as i need the car to get up and down to home to do all the final bits of wedding stuff.
  • Have ordered ny cake from M and S What a bargain and going to pick it up the day before! Also sent emails to venue and teepee company!!! Things seem to be getting crossed of the list and the budget spread sheet is up to date.

ohhh we've ordered our wedding cake from m&s too (the romantic pearl one) and we've also ordered a batch of strawberry and vanilla cupcakes to stretch for the evening do.

we've been pretty lucky that my OH's aunt works for m&s and can order it for us and get the staff discount and we can pick it up in the local m&s at home the saturday before the wedding

    *little happy dance*

also have managed to book the appointment with the florist to confirm the flowers i want, we're seeing the priest and the hotel this weekend and it all feels very mad and exciting now we're in single week figures lol!

All invites gone out now (except 3 that we need up to date addresses for) and RSVPs have started coming back. 12 weeks to go for us!
  • All of our day invites went out in January (I was too excited!) and out of 69 invitees, we're now waiting for 5 to reply. Evening invites are starting to go out based on how often we see people. Need to have a meeting with the florist at the end of the month, book the hairdressers and not a lot else really. Oh, and a 'final' meeting with the wedding coordinator. Not pushing her on that yet as I want a bit more breathing space on knowing numbers for the evening.
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)

evening invites all gone, made and posted today! Also bit the bullet and been and bought bridesmaid dresses! they are gorgeous minty green but a bit over budget!!! the thing thats really getting me at the minute is all annoying etiquette type things! When i first started planning I was very laid back now am getting a bit more uptight and worried that i am offending people for example i am buying the bridesmaids their dresses but asking them to get their own shoes, not specifying a particular shoe or anything but should i be buying the shoes too???? prob being silly cos the bridesmaids are my sisters, best friend and OH sister so am sure they would say if i was .........

I had my hair and make up trial at the weekend, and all went very well. Have confirmed that they will be arriving at 8am on the morning of the wedding to ensure that they get everyone done!

Have mine and BM's dress fittings booked in for last week of March....just need to find my underwear before then!

All seems to be coming together just need to face the table plan!!

It's finally real, it's not long to go now!!!!
