May 2011 brides

Hi ladies, hope everyone is well. I've been in a bit of a wedding 'rut' recently where I just couldn't get enthusiastic about it, I've started a new job so that's been taking up most of my thinking recently. However we've been to two wedding fayres these past two weekends and now I'm all excited again especially as we got some bits and bobs booked! (bridal makeup etc)
Eep, not long now!0 -
Woohoo! Not long now! Just under 15 weeks for us!
Sorted the mens' suits on Saturday at Debenhams. They were a lot more expensive to hire than was advertised on the website! Apparently they are changing suppliersCost £92 per person including insurance, which I thought was quite expensive, but still, I'm sure they'll look great and at least it's sorted now! Oh, and if you pay the full amount up front, you get 10% off, so that was something, I suppose.
Got a few things left to sort - hairdresser, favours, chair covers, place cards, oh and flowers, but may be doing them ourselves!
I've also started a new job, so my mind is very much on that at the moment.
Can't believe how quick it's all going!0 -
ooh ooh ooh! Sorry lol! I'm all excited! My dress has been delivered to the shop!! I'm going for my hair trial after work on Fri then to try my dress on. I wanted my hair trial at the same time so I can try on veils and stuff and have a good idea what they'll look like on the day. It makes it all seem so much more real!
I've also ordered the mini jars for my favours and am getting on well with making the sugar flowers for my cake.0 -
looks like things are speeding along for all of us.
just booked the hotel for the hen night online, they immediately contacted me by email regarding sending them the names of those who would be sharing.
wanted to give them a buzz anyway regarding the payment of the rooms and they were very very nice ... glad i went with that hotel now :T
ticked alot of things off my list this week which i'm really happy with. H2B is going to check his schedule today and see if he's free to go visit the priest on the 19th Feb so we can get that meeting done and dusted.
have to do a serious hunt for underwear now before i have a first fitting, although that's going to be another bit of fun cause i have to find someone to do my dress alterations as where i bought my dress is just too far away to travel to do the fittings!
ah well i'll get on with what i need to and then worry about that soon
good luck with what ever is on your TO DO list for this week folks0 -

I'm having a little freak out now having realised that it's just over 15 weeks to go. I think I'll be really freaked out when it's under 100 days! Gave the form to the priest to fill in last night so we can give notice (catholic ceremony) and we've now had our first marriage preparation class. It felt like our relationship was being tested!
All that we have left to do is get tiaras for the bridesmaids and book hair / make up. The hairdresser I want to use hasn't opened their diary for May yet, so that can wait. I also need to meet with the florist and find some decorations for the church.
Ooh, also mum's been looking for a choir to hire for our wedding. We've chosen our hymns and our readings, need to find someone to read our bidding prayers for us. Hen nights are arranged (although restaurants not actually booked!) and invites for the local one have been ordered (vistaprint). All systems go!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -
