today was a good day, got H2B and Best Man got fitted for their kilts and Dad got fitted for his suit.

Also went shopping for an outfit with Mum and the first shop she found the colours she wanted and we were able to get a 3 piece suit put together (from different outfits lol) and they're being made up in her colours.

I double checked to see if she was sure she didn't want to look around other stores but she really liked the outfit and found the colours she had been looking for to fit in well with my bridesmaid colour so she just went ahead and bought it! That was so much easier than I'd expected lol!

Finally getting to invitation writing tomorrow with the first batch going out monday! I'll be so glad when they're posted lol.

    how's everyone else going?
  • booked first night accomodation yesterday which is great and had our first marriage class with the vicar, he asked us what we love about each other and I started crying, what I am gonna be like on the actual day I don't know!!! Met the caterer again and ran through through the timings of the day and my friend who is sorting out the booze has arranged a tasting of the wines!!!! On another note we have just accepted an offer on our flat and yesterday we looked around a house we adore so its all go in the elbereth household!!!

    Hello all.
I think I introed myself ages ago, but haven't posted in quite sometime.
I'm getting married in the US, where I'm from we live in London though.
My mom sent out the overseas from the US, invites on Tuesday and some arrived yesterday. Depending on how many people are coming we will invite more people from the US.

I tried to post the other day but my PC was playing up! Letter came through from the registry office today - time to pay them their money!

We have our outfits & accessories, all I need to decide upon is my necklace.
Venue is all sorted just need to agree food costs.
Invites - designed, just need to print as soon as I've confirmed what time the disco starts.
Decorations - few more to make.
Chose our rings ages ago, but haven't gone and bought them yet so must get that done asap!
Need to get OH to check with his mum about the cake, and buy last few accessories to decorate it.
need to get my bouquet made/finished
Need to decide what I'm doing about make up.

Oh and need to pay the venue too! :o
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

  • Quite a busy week last week! Invitations all sent out. H2b has been given an amazing Ted Baker suit for nothing and bought his shirt yesterday. He was looking for ties for him and best man, but as I sent him out with a bit of embroidery thread the same colour as my dress and he's colour blind he didn't get them.

I really need to go into town and look myself but with a full time job and working three nights a week in the pub I really am short of free time.

Hey, I've still got twelve weeks to shop
