10 weeks yesterday for us...
Just sorting out fine details now... that and trying to loose 10lbs0 -
I am still looking for a hairdresser! That's my biggest headache right now. Apart from that, just have the minor things to sort like favours, and I already know what I want to do about them.
Oh, and I'm trying to lose a bit of weight too, but finding it hard as feeling rubbish today (coldy thing) so just wanting to eat, plus it's stopping me from going to the gym, which is frustrating as I'd got into a good routine! Oh well!
Can't believe how quickly it's all coming!0 -
Ok, with only 9 weeks to go, i have changed my mind.....Not about getting married, but about doing it in a registry office. So now i have cancelled the registry office and booked the church, but i can't believe everything i have to do now. Sort out hymns, invite more people, make new invites and make order of service's. ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!Got Married on 28th May 2011 :j0

Oh Jenny, your post made me smile, sounds like the sort of thing I would do.
it will be 7 weeks on Saturday for me and 3 weeks till the 'hen do' . I have my first dress fitting on Tuesday with my BM's.
Nearly finished my Order of Service, just need to make menu scrolls, place cards and table plan.
it's tough at times cus i don't get to see OH much at the moment but not to worry it's all in hand being taken care of. we're having a "quiet" weekend this weekend for some quality time together, i say "quietd we will still be doing wedding things but life seem's to be so busy these day's..... will be very strange when this is all over!0 -
less than 6 weeks for me now
finally got my underwear at the weekend so now i can go into my dress fitting not worrying that much lol
also got a lovely little bolero from debenhams with 20% off voucher which is just a hairs breath different in colour to my dress ... i'm so happy
have had my hair trial :T which went fab, getting my make up trial next weekend and also my first dress fitting.
still trying to get the stragglers who haven't replied (the rsvp date was the 14th!!!) still have to send out the evening invites (might do some of them by hand when i'm home at the weekend)
have given the hotel the meal selection that we wanted and they've sent us out a letter giving us the prices, should get that in the next day or so.
still have to sort out
- the final scan through for the order of service before printing and check through the music with the musicians.
- table plans / names of tables / butterfly place cards
- pressies for mums, dads, bridesmaid, bestman, flowergirl and page boys
- make my flowergirls felt and button bouquet
- get the different inks etc for our wedding tree guest book and a nice frame to finally put it in
- get the scatter diamonds for the tables on ebay
- drag out all the bits and pieces that have already been ordered and see what might be missing lol
- put together my emergency kit box for me and the survival box for the ladies and gents toilets.
- remember to pick up the marriage schedule when i'm home over easter!
have had a bit of a nightmare with out band for the reception as they might not be able to make it... they don't drive and the person that normally helps them out is on holiday but we might have sorted it ... just need to get a confirmation one way or another in the next few days. I've been pretty could not worrying mind you, it's too late now and if needs be we'll just get the dj to play for longer!
i'm sure there's more to sort out that i've forgotten about but we're 95% there and the important stuff is sorted so i refuse to get freaked out (well hopefully anyway)
still have to find out from the guests who are travelling from glasgow who needs a lift from enniskillen down to the church on the morning of the wedding but we have the bus booked anyway and can cancel it if needs be.
really can't believe mind you it's less than 6 weeks till the wedding :j0 -

eeek I feel like I've still got so much to do!!! I've been so chilled until now, but it suddenly seems not very long at all! Let me see I have to:
- sort out order of service (I know we need to have 2 hymns, a religious reading and a non-religious reading, but no idea what order, when minister says anything etc :S)
- make order of service sheets
- give notice! hmm that's a pretty important one...
- finnish cuting and hemming an 8m bolt of cloth for decorations
- sort out cake decoration with friend
- figure out what the hell I'm doing about hair, just can't justify spending more than £50 but a bit scared of doing it myself
- make hair decoration
- make bouquet
- figure out what other table decorations we could have
- acquire guest book
- adapt dress slightly (which could be fun as it's in Inverness and I'm in Stirling)
- organise what bagpipe music we are having for ceremony
- organise first dance (which needs to be Scottish Country dance)
- figure out how many bottles of mead the bar needs to get for toast
- sort out menu for lunch
- sort out logistics of who/when we set up what, how we get around on the day, who clears up
- organise changing name paperwork etc
Really need to just sit and tackle these issues one at a time... *breath, Lynne, breath*Got a job at Inchmahome Priory, woooooooooo!!
