    • Made an appointment to see another florist
    • Family friend who is make up artist has kindly agreed to do my make up on the day
    • Managed to find my sisters bridesmaid dress! Hooray!

I've had my florist booked for months! Good thing too as speaking to a few other people I'd never get one if I'd left it till now and my wedding is a Friday not a Saturday!!!

Currently having a major stress about the BM dresses. They were meant to be here 3 weeks ago and still haven't arrived! It sounds like the company despatched them ages ago but the people delivering them haven't done so......I have a horrible feeling they've lost them!!! The dress shop have been busy chasing it up for me and rang me on Friday to say they'd be here Monday (yesterday) and they'd ring me to let me know they'd go them, I never heard from them so tried ringing just before they closed but they must have already gone! At this rate we'll be having a last minute trip to debenhams wedding department!!! Wedding is 5 weeks on Friday so its getting a bit close!!

Other than that I need to finish the flowers for the cake (cakes are now all iced and marzipanned), make the favours (my job for the royal wedding day!), design and print the inserts for the orders of service (the card outside bits are all made) and get the BM dresses and mens suits fitted (all ordered just need a final fitting).

I also have monumentous amounts of uni work to hand in a week before the big day.....talk about bad planning!!
  • Do any of you feel like you're running out of things to do? Or are getting a bit bored with the planning? It seems like the only thing that friends / family want to talk about now, whereas they haven't been interested over the last 18 months we've been planning!

I could have written this myself...!! You're definitely not the only one. Especially as we've been planning since December 2008...
  • Yeah, we got engaged in July 2008 and booked our venue in August 2009. I'm just feeling quite bored of it all now. People keep saying to mee "ooh not long now. Bet you still have loads left to do" and I just want to scream at them that NO - I AM ORGANISED AND HAVE DONE 99% OF THE PLANNING!!!!!

On Thursday I see our cake lady. We're choosing an elaborate top tier for our cupcake tower because she charges £65 for the top tier. At that price I want it iced in solid gold.

Other things on our diminishing 'to do' list

    - OH is STILL chasing his final RSVP. They were due back a month ago.
    - BM dresses still haven't arrived but they should be simple to alter anyway
    - Have to pay the final balance on the photographer this week & send back their 'questionnaire'
    - Final balance on the honeymoon next week
    - Meet with florist to discuss what I want
    - Hen do #1 on 16th April
    - Hair trial & hen do #2 on 7th May

Mum & sister are making the table plan, OH is (apparently) making the order of service covers. That's about it. Make up trial was done just last week on the day of my final dress fitting. Dress doesn't need altering, mum's been shown how to dress me and do my bustle.

Might drag myself shopping with MIL2B to help her get her dress.

    Hen do

spent the last few nights starting to make the felt and button bouquet for my flowergirl.... here's what it looks like so far i'm so pleased and i've also make two little button holes for my pageboys cause i think real flowers would be completely wasted on a 5 and 8 year old :rotfl:
