I'm wanting the invites to be out by early February, at the latest, as it says people need to RSVP by the end of March (gives us time to chase up the none RSVP'ers) Just need to start putting them together!0

just bought our wedding rings today thought it was going to be so hard to get a ring that suited my engagement ring as it's an square diamond with the setting sitting out a bit. But we found a gorgeous ring and managed to get it in platimum (same as my engagement ring) with a few little diamonds in it and the OH got a lovely paladium ring, brushed finish with two fine lines running round on it. We did end up going over budget but i'd budgeted for me getting paladium as well as i thought i'd never manage to get a wedding ring for me in platium close to budget.
soooooooo happy with my wedding ring, my OH said as soon as i'd put it on he knew it was definitely my wedding ring :j
so the updated list goes like this

Beautiful dress and shoes Gandy!
Here's my dress: http://www.berketexbride.com/acatalog/Salomi.html (in ivory).
We ordered the invitations online and are really pleased with them - 80p each, so not bad! I am meeting my friend on Saturday, who is going to write the names and addresses in for me, as she has lovely handwriting! Hope to get them out by the end of the month, and like Laura, we have a RSVP date of 31st March (getting married 21st May).
We have a gift list online, and are asking for Marriott vouchers for our honeymoon, with 10% going to Cancer Research.
Still got a few things to do, but so enjoying it. It's so exciting!0 -
Invitations ordered , postage was ridiculous £7.30 for ten invitations but I love them!

I'm in a bit of a flap at the moment as I was reading the paper today and there was a Irish lady on honeymoon in mauritius who has been murdered by some staff members, it appears, and it was at the hotel we are going to. It's really really sad and I am freaking out a bit. How weird to go to that hotel...

It's a big big thing in northern ireland as she was the daughter of a famous gaelic footballer but it hasn't really made the news here much. I did hear a bit about it earlier in the week but they didn't say what hotel it was, and they said they thought it was an accident but today it was a bit more in detail. It's so sad, and I feel like it's put a bit of shadow over our honeymoon now as I won't be able to not think about what happened to them when they were there. But i can't cancel and go somewhere else as we can't afford to loose the deposit...0 -
its not been the best week for me in the planning department. i thought i was getting things sorted and now i'm going backwards.
On Saturday i tried on some dresses and i've now changed my mind (for the 4th time) about my dress.
On monday i had a consultation with the florist who set me lots of homework tasks - and i now realise i've got a lot more things to sort out than i thought.
Since Tuesday i've been persuing having a live band (again) but keep running into problems e.g not available, too dear or don't have necessary certificates as requested by venue!
Wednesday the lady making the invites informed me she can no longer do them.
Sometimes i just wonder if its all worth it!
I also wish i was better at making decisions then things wouldn't take so long to get sorted.
Rant over for now!
