I sent my invites early (people were asking for them, so I didn't want to disappoint!) and people are already starting to RSVP! Makes it feel so real!

We don't have a gift list and made no mention of gifts on our invites but people are asking what we want. Hmmm. Maybe should have thought about this a little more before we sent the invites out!

H2b and I are having lunch at our proposed venue on Sunday. Haven't booked it yet as it will be a set lunch for 20 people, which they do all the time. Hoping it will be lovely as we want to order the invites as they need to go out by end of February.

My wedding is 4 months tomorrow :eek::eek:. I think I have most things sorted, we just have to pay for it all now!!! I have made all my invitations and the order of service's, I just need to print out and stick in the inserts which I'll be doing at the weekend (except for the order of service as I don't know what that will be yet!!!

I also have the cake to do. I'm buying the cakes ready made from a specialist company that I have used before but I will need to marzipan and ice them as well as making all the sugar flowers :eek::eek:. I'm hoping the venue don't have a wedding the day before so I can go and set up the cake......otherwise I'll have to go VERY early on the day of the wedding to do it :eek::eek:. I have a hair appointment at 9am so it would have to be really early!!!

I'm also making the favours....little mini jars of homemade lemon curd, which will be made the weekend before the wedding.

Actually reading that I have a lot to do now. Oh and the BMs need shoes and some kind of cardy or jacket.

Sounds like I'd better get busy with the cake if nothing else!!

Im guessing Ive done the least out of everyone, but am not too worried, plenty of time still! No excuse, we've been engaged for over a year! Well, I did have my second son last August, so it seemed a bit silly to arrange things when I should be concentrating on being pregnant!

We used www.perlaevents.co.uk to supply our chair covers (lyrcra type), they were brilliant to deal with.

Just wondering when everyone's sending out their invitations? Our date is Sat May 28th (bank holiday weekend) and don't want to be stupidly early but at the same time it would be nice to get it done and out of the way!

I know what you mean, lots of people have started asking us about hotels and such so thinking i want to get ours out asap, hopefully by start of feb, my sister is designing them which is great but we havent even got them started yet!?

just wanted mention if anyone needs to let people know the information for their wedding you can put a free website together using http://www.weddingpath.co.uk.

really easy to do and we've just put all the final details on it for ours (still have so much stuff to get organised still) but we've had lots of people asking us for details and we still have to make the wedding invitations (hopefully we'll send them out by the end of the month) but it's a neat way to let everyone who's technically savy (even slightly) get your wedding info.

We're also 28th May and we've sent our invites already. Yes, it's early but people were asking for them. People are already booking their hotels and we've had 8 RSVPs on our website so far. We used www.gettingmarried.co.uk and the guests love it! It's been a real talking point.
