    Hello all!!

Our wedding date is May 11th 2011 :j:j:j

We are getting married in cyprus with about 27 members of our family.

I am so looking forward to it. My sister and cousin are bridesmaids along with my daughters who are 7 (8 in feb) and 5.

My dress was bought for me in August by my Nan :) My bridesmaids dresses have been ordered in a champage colour. My daughters are champagne with a little bit of Ivory whilst my dress is ivory with a bit of champage detail - same designers so matches perfectly.

Need to get OH organised in January. It will be too hot for jackets so we may buy trousers, shirts and waistcoats.

We leave on the 4th to cyprus and return here on weds 18th. Our big party celebration here is on the 20th May with 145 guests. The venue is booked and deposit paid for. We have decided on food etc. Save the date cards have gone out for the party, need to sort invitations to go out about February time

My biggest things i need to sort is a wedding cake , email the place we are getting married to sort a few things out, ring shopping and OH's clothes! Oh and shoes, underwear and jewellery for me - a lot to be sorting!

I hope everyone else is doing well!

    Hiya,

I'm already married but I am renewing my vows on the 5th May 2011 as it's our 10 year anniversary and so far the only thing I have organized is my dress. We only decided about a week ago to do this so we have a lot to organize with practically no money but the day is all about celebrating our life together with our kids there. Really need to get a shift on and get things organized

  • Hello everyone! We're getting married on 21st May - THIS YEAR!! How cool is it to be able to say you're getting married this year?! :D

Anyway, I have chosen my dress - it was one from Berketex Brides - Salomi. A bit more than I wanted to pay, but I loved it and then had to have the tiara and veil to go with it (though didn't think I wanted a veil beforehand!) Have to go for the final fitting in April.

I have nearly sorted the bridesmaids' dresses. I have four adult bridesmaids and two younger ones. I ordered them from BHS. I am going for a Fuschia theme, as I love that colour! Some of them will need to be altered, so I'm going to be looking for a good dressmaker! I've also ordered some of their shoes from BHS too, so gradually getting there!

We booked the venue last April, and put a £500 deposit down. And that's all we've done, still loads to do and it's coming so quick! The one thing I need to get onto ASAP is sorting a photographer. We did have one - a friend, who was going to do it for a good price, but he's now off to Afghanistan soon so we're going to have to find someone else. Oh, my dad is making the wedding cake as his cakes are legendary :D

It's amazing how the costs rise isn't it?! The budget's gone up at least £1,000 already!

Anyway, Happy New Year everyone, and happy wedding planning!

Thanks littlekel, and to you too! I need to lose some weight before my fitting too! It's the time of year, isn't it? :(

That's a good price for wedding shoes. I should start looking around really. The trouble is I'm a size 8/9 and am 6ft tall so only want a very small heel. It narrows down the choice quite a bit! Hope one of the pairs are good for you! :)

Hi All May brides/an grooms if any.

Just thought id introduce myself been lurking on here a while an picking up some good ideas, so thought id better join you all.

Im getting married May 1st 2011 to the most amazing man (who is suprisingly as excited as I am about the whole thing!!!) We have been planning our big day since last new years eve when we found the venue of our dreams. (Got engaged on Christmas eve 2009). WOW that sounds like sooo long ago but feels like yesterday.

Think we are kinda on track most things decided and booked just the little things like favours, underwear, jewellery, shoes and bits like that to sort.

Welcome Mrs H and congratulations! You must be so excited! :T
Well, I was spurred into action by the New Year yesterday and ordered my shoes! They were reduced from £50+ to £27 in the sales, with free delivery - exactly what I was looking for! I also emailed the hotel about booking the resident DJ for the evening, so hopefully that'll be sorted when the Wedding Co-ordinator is back after the Christmas break.

May have sorted a photographer too!
