Maccyd's are notoriously easy to get in to work for. I got told (jokingly) by my manager that I got my job there as they were desperate. But I've been there nearly a year on customer care and I think I've proved them wrong a tad.

The OJE, well I never really had this. If you go in white shirt and smart trousers it means you basically have to put on a crew shirt, and stand by the till helping someone do orders, it's pretty simple and it tests customer care skills.

Thanks Elfen, I know that they are meant to be easy to get into but considering how desperate veryone is getting they are getting more people willing to 'lower themselve' so they may not be as desperate anymore lol

I know this was said jokingly but remember folks - there is no shame in paid employment - just make yourself the best Maccy D's employer they have ever had ;)

I'm finding it hard to get in even with customer service experience and been fully flexible. Maybe I'm too old (27)

That's what I kind of meant- whereas people would normally go for other jobs there are so little of these jobs now available that people are taking any option open to them.
