I love hoax-slayer, according to hubbie 112 is simply the european emergency no and you won't get through if you have no signal but you would if you had no simm/credit possibly.

Top news Greenbee! Is this the job you phone i/ved for last week or this week?

Yes! I had a call from another recruiter too, but I'm a bit suspicious... I think they only wanted to talk to me as they thought I might be able to help them get a candidate in for a job we're advertising, but we don't accept applications from agencies. And as he hasn't sent me the paperwork he promised, I think I'm right!

Very very interested what is readitswapit?? I am assuming it a bit like freecycle for books?????

It's more a swap-shop ;) You list your books and others can choose books from it. If you like a book on their list you swap :D New books for the price of postage. Link here.

    You might like Greenmetropolis, too.

Best wishes to the mudders family!

Re: the food and LO's debate! I hate it when I post first and finish reading the rest after!!!

Nikflo My DD3's meds mean that she doesn't want to eat a lot of the time. The best piece of advice I have found is to make every drink count. I don't give her anything that is 'no sugar ' And I try to make sure she has a chocolate milkshake every day. My DD3 is dairy intolerant which adds to the fun! But a homemade soya milkshake can rack up 150 calories, a drink of blackcurrant is approx 120-150 calories depending on the size of glass. A glass of fruit juice is the same.

We make sure that she has at least 3 x 150 calorie drinks a day. It has really made a difference to her weight.

Don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but that info really helped us. :)

Boddy - what's the actual date of your retirement? I remember there was a little bit of confusion a while ago. And I'll make this note here for me to GIVE BODDY A STAR

I'm considering whether or not I need to contemplate building an ark. We've had seriously heavy rain in the last half hour or so.

Have also had an email which means I need to stick my head above the parapet again on a contentious community matter. A local business person wants to discuss something with me. I know what it is and the answer is no. The local businesses won't like that but hey, it's not for me to say they can break the law..... I will continue to uphold it. I will have to make sure my response is measured and accurate. It will doubtless be bandied around to all and sundry....

Mince bubbling away on the stove for pasta type dinner.

Thanks Soappie. My retirement date is 28th August. I had asked to work my last day and have a little do with the clients. She put me night shift the night before but got her to change it. I decided to work a month after my birthday so everything is in place financially.

    Done some shredding.
