    Have read through the thread

Dusty - hugs; it must be a really difficult decision. One of the boys in my class had grommets put in a couple of months ago and it has made a big difference to him and us

And I will join you in ironing to WDYTYA too!

I like the idea of PenPen as Little Miss Organised. Wish I was - but I seem to be stuck being known as Little Miss Whoops (she is Mr. Bump's cousin!) after last year

    pigpen - :rotfl:at the height difference! Being 5'10 I need a taller man ;)

soappie - glad you found a garage; hugs for DD and thanks for message from Toots - been thinking of her

GnB - what a lovely post; thank you

Jo - well done and you're more than welcome

serena - where is DS off to?

nikflo - huge hugs; it sounds like you are doing everything you can

mudbath - huge hugs and prayers for you all

lbnblbnb - hugs for you to and  for OH

Now going to cook dinner ..........

Wont be finishing any lists this week, may just stick to Level 1 and do anything else if possible.

DD1 has swine flu so as OH is in Strassberg I had to phone my brother to fetch the Tamiflu for her.

I now have Dallas to look after day and night as dont want her to catch it,she is 17 days old now .

Plus my LO is very grumpy and miserable, most unlike him, hope he isnt coming down with it too.

Think I will get my boys to help out a bit more this week.

Flying ermmm I have done some washing, and ran our babygroup today.

chaos theory - we do it a bit differently to the American Flylady site. If you go to the first post, you will find the lists for the day there, they are posted the day before. To this list, most people add their own dailies (washing up, laundry, cooking meals, preparing packed lunches - you get the picture!). At the moment there is a special decluttering challenge, where we declutter/ebay/sell/chuck/etc five items a day. Post three keeps a record of the days completed, and at the moment anyway awards a star for each one. Our resident meeter and greeter toots is away at the moment, so welcome!:hello:

froddington - is it DS1 you meant? He's doing a Music business course here in Ramsgate, six sessions over the next few weeks. He eventually found it this morning, and has had a very good day learning how to record stuff.

I have nearly finished the main bedroom, but need to whisk the vaccuum over before I can claim it's done.

mudbath - hugs to you all, and huge get well vibes too.

Hugs to everyone having the grumps or who are sick.
Jo - I'm glad you accepted the help. We would all have been really grumpy if you hadn't!

Quick update - both children diagnosed with SF and pretty yuck with it. I reckon DH and I only have bad colds as we're not too bad at all. Spotty dog is going slowly mad as she's not allowed long walks and we can't take her out at the moment anyway.

Thanks for the update Mudders - don't be surprised if what you've got is SF as well - it would be unusual for you to have something different to the children at the same time. I reckon people's immune systems handle it differently.

DS is now complaining of a bit of a throat - hey ho! He was out and about clubbing on Sunday night.

My car is complaining of having fluctuating breaks so has signed off sick as far as the MOT is concerned. She's spending the night in the car hospital but hopefully a brake pad and drum transplant will sort her out (and empty my purse!).

Have done as much flying as I can without involving the Dyson. I didn't want to miss the phone for when the garage called back - and of course, they didn't call back until just before 5pm! I have asked that it be fixed by lunchtime tomorrow. I need to go and get some veg and stuff - and a bridesmaid dress!

When DS had it a few weeks ago I got a heavy cold. I was advised to stay away from people as a precaution but wasnt treated as I am not classed at risk. The worst I got was the Sat when I just didnt want to move or do anything but all in my symptoms only lasted about 4 days with DS having his for about 8 days in total.
My best wishes to you and yours MUDDERS (any everyone else with SF) - its a little rough but you will get through it fine xxx

    Evening all

Back from sitting in the rain, under an umbrella scoring at cricket. Drank tea and smiled away though.

Thanks for all you comments re DS3 - my PM box is full right now but I will get back to you all later xx

Serena - course it is ok. If you have my email please use that, if not I'll pm it to you later

Nickflo hugs sweetie, my house is a tip and a half at the minute and my youngest is 7 so I've got years on you yet! I've one who doesn't eat potatoes or sandwiches. Two eat fish, one doesn't, two eat eggs, one doesnt. I am sure you have tried every trick going so I doubt I could help but I do feel for you xx

Hugs for you and DS3, your sons problem is no less significant than my LO's! It is still a big decision for you to make in his life.

When my LO was in hospital we spent a month living on an oncology ward as oncology and ortho were together. It made me really thankful that my LO 'only' has what she has, its not nice but its not immediately life threatening. Some of the patients and their families on that ward would break your heart. There is always someone worse off than you, however it doesnt make your problems less important or significant to you.

Well said G&B. Our DD3 needed surgery when she was born. So we spent her first 2 weeks at the children's hosp. Just as you say, some of the children there were so poorly, it made us really really count our blessings. At least we knew our LO was coming home with us... many parents couldn't say the same. :(

But... and it's a big but... it doesn't take away from your own distress. No-one wants to have to cope with a sick child.... you just have to play the hand you're dealt.

(((Hugs))) Dusty, it's not a nice decision to have to make. FWIW... my DD3 has had at least 4 sets of grommets. They did really help her.

I have three items now on ebay and have decluttered two black bags of carp from my bedroom - can that count as part of my five items today?? purleezzzz? :D

Most of the contents of one bag admittedly, used to reside in my underwear drawer! Bras which dont fit properly, or have lost their shape, gone grey etc......knickers which I would never ever wear again! Why did I still have these?????

ETA - oh oh oh !! I forgot to say, some of the bag was more scabby toiletries!! :T:T:T

    Go me!
