methekidsandthecat wrote: »My DS had a inginual (spelling??) hernia repaired at the age of 3 - it was ok although I cried when he went down. Only problem the surgeon said 'he is fine just keep him quiet and not to run around for 10 days' Have you ever tried to keep an active 3 year old quiet and still for 10 minutes let alone 10 days!!!:rotfl::D
Its always good to hear positive stories. Unfortunately most kids dont understand that they need to sit still and rest to get better:rolleyes:
My DD's hernia is on her side just underneath her ribs, it is not even a 'proper' hernia (although it is about the size of a tennis ball!) apparently as it has no defined edges, it is just a weak point in the muscle probably as a result of her spinal conditionThey need to be careful as one of her ovaries is in the wrong place and is right under the hernia. She is like a little jigsaw puzzle:o
Thankfully i'm passed the crying when she goes under stage, only really cried when she went for a spinal fusion at 11 months old as it was her first real op.I'm home, and just waiting for the call for my interview... (5 minutes to go... I'm not sure I've prepared properly). I'll catch up with you all later...
Good luck Greenbee! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Once again G&B I'm sending positive vibes and the very best wishes for your DD. She has to put up with a bloomin lot doesn't she.
I hope this latest op goes really well for her.

Have also found out that the plain clothes boys are going to do an op on the house at the end of the road. Best Friend up there and I have decided we shall henceforth be known as Cagney and Lacey
I'm cagney cos I's is blonde and she's Lacey cos she's got a mouth on her that would embarrass the hardest New York resident from the wrong side of the tracks.
Funny how you have images of people - I'd had you as a redheadMy client today nearly walked out - after several phone conversations with me, she'd convinced herself I was dark-haired and wouldn't believe I was the same person
I'm feeling bad about the "rewards" on here. Having had a really messy house for years, it's now acceptable again, in large part to the boost I get from coming on here. I only post what I've achieved to boost myself and can honestly say that I try to read all the posts, but pay absolutely no attention to other people's lists or how many stars/hearts/rewards they've got. I'll try to just keep it to myself from now onSorry if I've offended anyone
Posi-vibes to Greenbee :j
Best wishes to Little Miss G'n'B
Tired out after a long day at work, but I'm off now for nearly 3 weeks, so will start winding down :T
